These are great for metal and hard rock types of stuff. They are loud cut through fairly well. They are not meant for light stuff, and you have to hit them hard to get a good sound though. I did notice some small dents on the crashes but nothing big. The crash sound very good, and the Hi-hats are pretty good close, but have great attack when they are open. The ride is the only thing I have a problem with. It rings for a long time, but it's not noticeable while playing, but the bell is really high pitched. It's almost like hitting nothing. The best way to get a good sound on the bell is to hit it with the side of the stick instead of the tip. All in all, these cymbals are great for the price.

Bought these based on name and reputation hoping to be an upgrade in brilliance and sound color but was very dissapointed in tone. If your looking for crisp cut thru and brilliance these won't do the job. Decided to stick with Sabian as there is no comparison when struck side by side. Bought these for my son's kit and he and I both were dissapointed with their sound.

Bought these based on name and reputation hoping to be an upgrade in brilliance and sound color but was very dissapointed in tone. If your looking for crisp cut thru and brilliance these won't do the job. Decided to stick with Sabian as there is no comparison when struck side by side. Bought these for my son's kit and he and I both were dissapointed with their sound.

i find these cymbals great for the price...i love all the cymbals and very happy with all of them.They have a great sound...i wish the ride had more of a bright sound to it but it sounds very well for the price.Also i really enjoy the free 18inch crash it has a great tone and has a good volume.I would say this pack is ment for heavier music....overall this is a great cymbal pack to get.

When you first get them out of the box they have a real bright shine to them that looks great! The indentions on them really add some extra zest that you wont gte if you just go with the regular ZXTs. I especially love my 18inch crash in any breakdown!!! The crashs are both good for heavy music as well as the hi-hat works good for some faster stuff. Now to the ride... it is a different kind of pingy that i didnt really expect but it isnt that bad.

I'm an experienced drummer that hasn't played in 10 years. My budget is tight so I got the ZXT's. These cymbals sound pretty good but I've only had them about a week and the crashes are already all dinged up all around the edges. The ride is ok. It's very heavy and the sound doesn't project all that good. All in all, a very good set of cymbals for a beginner that doesn't hit hard. If you hit hard like me, spend more money and get some A or A Customs. Would have actually saved me money in the long run.

I love them! they sound great for the price. The 16 and 18 crashes go great when your ripping a punk beat, My only problem i have right now is the ride...it sounds good for just hittin it with the tip of your stick;as soon as you start to ride on it..where's the sound? the bell sounds great during some metal break downs and fills, don't know what all the other reviews are talking about!! all in all!!! must buy if your a hard hitter and on a budget!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Everything about these cymbals is good,especially the fact that you get two crashes! They look reall sound great for everything that i play which is born of osiris and august burns red and other stuff like that. Just make sure you get a china(wuhans and definetly the best value and mine sounds great!!)to finish this set off. I think it helps pull the hole sound together.

These cymbals hae their place but it is ONLY in the rock arena. The HiHats sound okay if they are open and you are wailing on them. The Rock Ride has very little stick definition, rings for forever, and the bell is virtually nonexistent. The 18" Crash is low and will ring for ages. The best cymbal in the pack is the 16" Crash. You can get a decent crash out of it but you have to hit it pretty hard. Overall, the cymbals are great if you are playing metal music in which you wail. They are extremely thick and extremely loud. If you are looking for something more universal, these are not the right cymbals.

i agree with the guy that commented before me. everything. i love it. the rides bell is a little weird, but its an amazing set for the value. i also have the a customs with another set, and these sound pretty much identical when i record. im definitely happy with these.
