Backtrack on my Review....

By Cem Basman

from Indiana

Comments about Shaker Dynamic Harmonica Microphone:

Having a Sure Green Bullet, Sure 57, a vintage Astatic 200 at my disposal, I now prefer the Shaker Dynamic. It truly seems superior in sound and comfort over the others. The compact size, the volume knob and the fat tone make this study little mic my favorite. Shakey Joe did good on this one. I may have gotten a bad mic with my first order, but the way Shaker folks took care of the situation tells me that it is a very unusual thing to have happen. All's forgiven and Shakey Joe has a new fan in me.
I recently rated this mic as a lemon... it turns out I DID get a lemon, but apparently it is a rare occurance. The Shaker folks immediately sent me a new mic and I am very pleased with this little baby. The size takes a little getting used to, but once you do, it is great to have such a small mic to hold. The volume knob is well situated and very handy. The claims made about limiting feedback are true. I had to really push it to cause feedback with this mic.
The sound out of this tiny thing is great. I have been able to get the deep overdrive tones that I have been attempting to get out of my green bullet. The Shaker Dynamic will be my mic from now on.
The price is right for this mic.

Low output, high feedback

Comments about Shaker Dynamic Harmonica Microphone:

I've had one of these sitting in a drawer for years. Lowest output harp mic I ever used. OK for quiet gigs, I guess. Be aware...

My Experience

By Gary Jordan

from Modesto, California

Comments about Shaker Dynamic Harmonica Microphone:

I am a 50+ yr harmonica player and recently purchased a Shaker Dynamic mic. I am glad I did. It is probably the only harmonica mic I will need. I have used a SM58 for years but this one both works very well and fits my hands. The cupped sound is really good. I would recommend this mic to any harmonica player, hobbyist or professional.

Comments about Shaker Dynamic Harmonica Microphone:

I own 5, 1/4" and xlr along with one "mad cat", these little monsters are easy to hold, easy to use, the volume control is sturdy and responsive usually coming over well at 4 clicks, wouldn't have ANY other.

Solid, Indestructable Mike

By Anonymous

from Undisclosed

Comments about Shaker Dynamic Harmonica Microphone:

I've got big hands, but I like being comfortable holding a harmonica mike -- but I still want to get that warm "Les Paul" sound. The Shaker Dynamic does it.It's got very good response, it's small (picture a pill vial with a half golf ball on top), and it is solidly made.If I had to have only one microphone, this would be the one for all-around usefulness
