When it comes to effects units, T-Rex Engineering isn't the biggest player in the game. In this case, though, that's a good thing: the best pedals often come from smaller, dedicated shops that are committed to their craft. T-Rex has certainly proven that by building pedals good enough to land onstage with the likes of Pete Townshend, Gary Moore, John Mayer and David Gilmour, just to name a few. Since Lars Dahl and Sebastian Jensen founded T-Rex Engineering in 1996, they've been proving with pedal after pedal that they've got engineering chops as ferocious as the company's namesake.

The first T-Rex effects unit that most guitarists hear about is usually the Replica Delay/Echo Pedal. This pedal gives you 2000ms of delay, on a digital platform that can be adjusted to sound as modern or vintage as you like. It's one of the cornerstones of the T-Rex lineup, and you're not likely to find a better delay pedal anywhere else. It's even got a Guitar Player Editors' Pick award to its name to back that claim up.

Some other amazing examples of what T-Rex Engineering can do for you are the Mudhoney and Mudhoney II distortion pedals. Customizability is king with these effects units, which can dial in anything from the most subtle distortion to all-out screaming fuzz: it's up to you. If you're not sure which of the two is better for you, the most important difference to take into account is that the Mudhoney II supports twin channels, giving you the capability to choose between three separate tones.

For the classic rockers and vintage sound enthusiasts among us, one T-Rex pedal that deserves a special nod is the Tremster. Designed to emulate the characteristic tremolo sound available in vintage tube amplifiers, this effects unit is a great way to achieve classic feel in your tone while also enjoying the advantages of modern controls and build quality.

Of course, these pedals are just a few examples of what T-Rex Engineering effects have to offer. Whatever your style, you can find a great assortment of stompboxes and pedals here to suit your own needs and preferences and make sure your performance goes off without a hitch every time you take the stage.
