Since the mid-70s, Charvel has been making flashy and powerful electric guitars that push the limits. Founded by Wayne Charvel in Azusa, California, "Charvel's Guitar Repair" quickly earned a reputation as the place to go for repair work, custom finishing and parts upgrades. As demand grew for the Charvel work, the company began building their own instruments.  Charvel's early signature guitar featured a Fender Stratocaster with a humbucking pickup. Often referred to as a "superstrat," this guitar (along with other Charvels) was popular with heavy metal guitarists of the day including Edward Van Halen, Richie Sambora, Randy Rhodes, Vinnie Vincent, Warren DeMartini and more. Today, artists as varied as El Hefe of NoFX, Terry Balsamo of Evanescence, Mike Martin of All That Remains, Rich Ward of Fozzy, Jake Kelly of Strung Out and more trust Charvel electric guitars to deliver the crunch and dynamic tones they need on the stage.

Charvel offers instruments for players of every skill level, all made with quality and durability in mind. Beginners and first time buyers will definitely love learning on an instrument like the Desolation Skatecaster 3 or the Charvel Desolation Double Cutaway 2 because of their great tonal and stylistic options. Players with a little more experience will want to check out the San Dimas SD1-2H Electric Guitar or the SoCal SC1-2H Electric Guitar for their scorching sounds and overall incredible feel. If you're an artist who likes to make a memorable impression, taking the stage with a Charvel Desolation DST1-FR Star Electric Guitar is definitely a good way to get noticed. This guitar is highlighted by a legendary star body profile that casts an incredible silhouette as you chug through your favorite jams. Whatever your style or interest, a Charvel will deliver.

Theres a reason Charvel maintains its legendary reputation. Its because of a dedication to quality instruments and forward thinking. With a commitment to all things rock, a Charvel electric guitar is a must-have for any serious guitarist.
