Reverend electric guitars have never been the kind of instruments to settle for the status quo. Ever since Joe Naylor started the company in 1996, he's been focused on making better designs by doing things his own way. The results are the characteristics that make Reverend guitars famous: unique construction and vintage authenticity, combined with great playability that makes them terrific choices for guitarists of every style and skill level.

The earliest guitars that Reverend produced made fantastic use of hollow-body construction, with mahogany centers flanked by resonating chambers. In 2007, the Reverend tonewood of choice was switched to korina, an exotic wood that Naylor picked for its consistent weight and acoustic qualities. All along, hollow-body designs have remained an important part of the lineup, but they're now joined by an impressive selection of solid-body guitars. That's great news for guitarists, since it means you can find a Reverend electric guitar with exactly the type of construction that you prefer.

The high quality of Reverend's instruments has gotten plenty of professional attention, too. Kid Rock, Billy Corgan and Tito Jackson are just a few of the artists who've put a Reverend through its paces. It's no surprise, then, that some of the standouts in the Reverend collection are signature models. The roster of guitarists with a Reverend guitar to their name includes Pete Anderson, Rick Vito, Bob Balch, Reeves Gabrels and Tricky Gomez. If your goal is to match up to guitar greats like these, playing one of their signature Reverends is a no-brainer.

What it all boils down to is this: the only person who can tell you for sure which guitar is the best for your own tastes is you. What can be said, though, is that a selection as impressive as Reverend's electric guitars should definitely offer the right instrument. All you need to do is take a close look and imagine yourself playing the guitars you'll find here, and it's a sure thing that at least one of these axes is going to "click" for you.
