Sterling by Music Man Electric Guitars

Bass guitars may have given Sterling by Music Man their debut in the instrument-making business, but they weren't about to stop there. Building up their repertoire naturally led to an impressive line of electric guitars that may even have surpassed their bass roots. These are first-rate instruments backed by the high standards of the Ernie Ball brand and supported by some of the music scene's leading guitarists.

For an example of that, you don't need to look any further than Dream Theater's John Petrucci. There's more than one Sterling by Music Man signature model crafted to his specifications. His JP70, for instance, is an extended-range electric guitar with Music Man's own recessed tremolo on an easy-to-play basswood body. As well, even southpaws can get in on John's signature sound with the left-handed JP60.

If John Petrucci isn't your style, don't fret: there are plenty of other Sterling guitars made with input from the pros. Check out the LK100D, for example. It's from the Steve Lukather signature series, and it's packed with design features aimed at replicating Steve's own preferences. Those features include a floating "Vintage Tremolo" bridge, "push-push" boost on the volume control, five-way balanced switching and a traditional "V" contour neck.

Of course, you don't have to go signature to find out what Sterling by Music Man electric guitars have to offer. If you're a beginner, a great entry-level option is the Silo3. With a tremolo bridge and H/S/S pickup layout, it's the perfect versatile instrument to experiment and refine your individual playing style. For more advanced players, there are even more options: just one look at the JP100D or AX40D, and you'll be aching to pick one up and try it out firsthand.

When you want Music Man quality and tone combined with plenty of accessible appeal, you'll find it in a Sterling electric guitar. The top-shelf pedigree behind the guitars speaks for itself, and so do their feel and sound. There's no doubt that when you hold one of these guitars in your hands, you'll know you made the right decision.
