What more can I say to endorse this guitar ? It is by far one of the best buys for the dollar spent , I like to say invested ,largely in part to what one receives from something ,opposite that which only takes. Some years back when money was very tight , I had to make the compromises to building that which would always be mine , not mine and the banks. I endured the years I had to play a strat made outside the USA, I have the finest, latest technologic strat now.AND a world of differance to be certian, HOW EVER I bought the EPI PHONE SHERATON all those years back and I have it still and love to play it as much as my Gibson 339 , the Sheraton is an investment for your ears and your sole ,it can not disappoint , it does not disappoint, if you learn to play guitar, learn on one of the best starter to novice to professional, everyone likes my Sheraton.
The day had arrived ,I had applied the last dollars into my guitar fund , with cash in hand I went to the Music Store to purchase the Epiphone Prophecy GX that had me salivating from the moment I had picked up a floor model some 4 months earlier , as I awaited the service persons assistance , I looked upon the collection of Gibson 339's and cotemplated the way this sweet sound of golden nectar would enhance the warm generous harmonies of Delta Blue's I was learning to play ,along with the need for clean , brilliant leads built into the songs of that sound . Knowing the accounting to the day such a purchase could occur for me in my guitar fund , I thought I might try an Epi to provide me a reasonable alternative. The Sheriton , the Sheriton has a sound that can achieve all that is required for Delta Majic, a true tone with such clean pitch , as close as one can get in my ear to B B King , John Lee Hooker , and yes even some Muddy Waters. There are many whom would have stayed the coarse and purchased the Prophecy , I know for they told me as much over the years of conversation respectively , This guitar is in a collection of more than twenty and lesss than one hundred , I never get tired of the sweet sounds of golden nectar this guitar is capable of , I am always happy when I have it in my playing hands , an most of all this guitar is capable when others with higher price tags can not get it done . The Epiphone Sheriton is a must have in my ear , body and soul. Love with Music , Respectfully a1longshore44
Exellent guality control , alot of thoughtful engineering went into producing this guitar , it is as solid in overall body build as one of my much more expensive cousins to this type and kind , the electronics are vastly greater than one would expect of a guitar in the price catagory.
The value to return on investment is one of the highest in all comparable senarios , this guitar is easily one of my most favorite ,now at a time in my life when my guitar fund can provide me almost what ever I want . I have purchased the Gibson 339 , and while the electronics are destinctivle to the 339 ,the overall guality of feel and control of the vibe in my hands are very much that of the Sheraton. The Epi Phone ,Gibson people whom thaught this thing through , to put a Better guitar into the rising musicians hands , well done . This guitar never disappoints, always ready , with a quick tune right out of her case , she keeps up with the big daugs !

I was about to buy an Ibanez AS80 from a guy, but stopped buy the music store to check out some other options. I played the Sheraton, and couldn't believe how bad it was. One of the worst guitars I have ever played. The thing wouldn't stay in tune. Everything about it felt cheap. It was too lite and felt like a toy. I tried the Ibanez AS73, and it was somewhat better. I ended up trying out the Ibanez AS80 from a guy down the road and was blown away at the difference. The action, sustain, weight, and overall quality was far better than the Sheraton. If you want this type of guitar then please try something else. There are far better options...

Comments about Epiphone Sheraton II Electric Guitar:

I was really skeptical about buying this guitar. I had been looking at it online for quite awhile and thought that it cant be that good for the price. I finally bought it and Im sure glad I did. The guitar is really well built, has a great tone and I havent played any of my other guitars since I have tried it out. I own A Gibson SG, Les Paul and A Fender Strat. I am seriously thinking of selling them after playing this.
The guitar has a great tone with alot of bite,Run it with some distortion and it sounds great. Dial the volume down to cut the distortion and it is perfect for blues. I am really amazed that you can get a guitar of this quality for the money.
If you are hesitating on buying this, dont hesitate. Buy It !!

Comments about Epiphone Sheraton II Electric Guitar:

I haven't had this guitar for long, but I already love it. It has been so easy and fun to play that I am learning all kinds of new tricks and licks. It definitely has that bluesy sound that I was looking for but also has enough drive to play some great rock. While I would go back to my strat for hard rocking and my acoustic for the intimate venue, this one fits perfectly in between. I don't have a great amp to really turn it up so I can't comment too much on the quality of the pickups or electronics. They work.

I got this used and was planning to change out the bridge pickup because it was just an ordinary stock epiphone alnico humbucker...then once i plugged it into my ac15 and crate palamino v16 running stereo i changed my mind immediately! This guitar sounds amazing for everything being stock. It's got a real bite to it when you turn the overdrive on, whether your strumming chords and playing a lead riff. Amazing guitar

This is my favorite guitar and i will love it forever! I'm no professional, but i really enjoy this guitar and i think it sounds amazing and it feels very nice to play. Only issue ive had is the input jack went out on me which only cost me barely anything to repair and ive had it for quite some time now. Other than that no issues with the guitar at all. Highly recommended for someone looking for some value for their money!

I ordered the sheratan II with a case-guitar came installed in the case-everything was as expected-fine korean made guitar(as I had read about) I was a little skeptical as It was out of it's original box. I replaced the strings as the guitar was dated 6/2012 and right after I found 3 small cracks on both sides under the nut-I could not feel them but I could see them. I did not want to take a chance so with Muscians Friends excellent return policy, I returned it and re-ordered another-just came-seems fine. My point is this company is EXCELLENT to deal with. They sent me the prepaid shipping label and everyone was very pleasent to deal with. As I have said before, Muscians Friend is definitely customer oriented and this is one of the many reasons I keep coming back

Amazing Less Expensive Alternative to the ES-335!

                  from Minneapolis

Comments about Epiphone Sheraton II Electric Guitar:

Just a great guitar all around. It looks great, it feels great, just great. American ES-335s cost well over $3000, and this little darling costs this price on MF. The Sheraton plays almost just as well! That sweet 335 sound with out that nasty 335 price.
All the features of a Gibson ES-335, with maybe lesser electronics, but hardly noticeable tone wise. Solid features!
Amazing quality for its price tag. With the price you get on Musician's Friend, it's a steal! Sure, it aint Gibson Custom by any means, but compared to others in its price range, it's king!
Do I need to say more? Amazing value!

Comments about Epiphone Sheraton II Electric Guitar:

You can spend a lot more money for a lot less guitar. The stock p/us and hardware are really OK; I've done hundreds of gigs, recording sessions, etc, and this guitar always delivers. The workmanship is really good (mine was made in the Samick factory, your results may vary), and I am really happy with this instrument. When you bring it home, find a tech (or call your tech) and get it set up, you won't be disappointed.
Your typical semi-hollow body electric guitar, dual humbucking p/us, 3-way selector switch, and individual volume and tone controls for each p/u. Each p/u sounds quite good on its own, and you can blend them for the sound you prefer.
This, like any guitar, benefits from a professional setup when you get it. Don't believe that it's "set up in the USA" , you want to take it to your tech to have it set up for the way you play, the string gauges you use, etc. This is REALLY important, trust me.
This guitar is a terrific value, long as it's adjusted and setup professionally.

Epiphone Sheraton II - Jan 2012 - I LOVE IT

                  from USA - Up North

Comments about Epiphone Sheraton II Electric Guitar:

I bought this on a whim when it was on sale

I have a few very nice solid body guitars but wanted to try something different without getting in over my head.

I am very happy with what I got
Played it for several hours every day for 2 weeks now and I love it.

                  Feels awesome and sounds great.

Never played a semi hollow before so I don't have anything to compare it to. Sorry, can't tell you how it stacks up to a Gibson.

I play thru a Line 6 effects board directly into a small PA system in my basement.
Mine was made in China - Inspected in USA.

I heard some bad things about the chinese version of this guitar, but the guitar I got is nice and solid.

A few minor cosmetic paint issues with the binding. The "e" on the pick guard is coming off. A few loose screws here and there. I didn't buy it to look at it.

The frets were a little rough at first but that soon went away with a little playing. I put 09's on it and lowered the action a bit (I think it came with 10's). It stays in tune fairly well after a lot of heavy bending. Not perfect but not bad either. Intonation seems good to me. I play a lot of chords up and down the neck and nothing sounds off.

Anyhow, I'm very happy with it. For the price, the quality is outstanding
If you are looking to try a semi hollow body I don't see how you can beat this.

                  This a very nice guitar
