With a design that harkens back to the golden era of mandolin building, the American Series FO mandolin combines the best traditional construction elements with Breedlove's cutting edge aesthetics and attention to detail.
The Breedlove F-style mandolin features a Florentine body design, with a single oval sound hole in the body. The result is a mandolin with a deep, clear voice, and a full range of bass and bright, high end tones. The solid Sitka spruce top and flamed maple back and sides complement these features, and add robust projection, so this F-style can be heard no matter what arrangement you find yourself in. Whether practicing at home, jamming with your buddies, or shredding some Bill Monroe licks at center stage, this 8-string mandolin sounds killer. The 13.94" scale, 1-3/16" nut width, and 16" radius provides comfort and accessibility when running up and down the Breedlove mandolin's 23 frets. The bolt-on maple neck, and ebony bridge and fretboard provide amazing clarity and sustain, while also making the mandolin incredibly sturdy.
Dressed in a smooth satin fnish, with Gotoh MF40R/MB tuners, and chrome hardware, this mandolin is truly a bluegrass looker, and will impress everybody within range of its killer tone and breathtaking looks. Includes Breedlove deluxe hardshell mandolin case.
