Not bad for an entry level

      By Ninjawailer

Comments about Cordoba La Playa Tenor Ukulele:

you got to take it for what it is. An entry level uke. Don't expect to have your mind blown by the tone because they say it's solid wood. It does have nice tone but not good for recording or anything like that. Just a good instrument to learn to play on and see if your interest in the ukulele will further develop. Another thing that I found annoying was that the back and sides are not solid (Judging by the grains). It is made it China. The set up was pretty close to perfect right out of the box. The gig bag seems to be very good quality. I would recommend that you go with the Lanikai ST and get more bang for your buck.

      Grea Uke!

Comments about Cordoba La Playa Tenor Ukulele:

I just got this uke the other day, and I absolutely LOVE it. It has great tone and great size. Sometimes instruments feel sorta cheap when you hold them. Not this one. the only thing is when you strum the C string hard on the second or first fret there is a slight buzz. I'm sort of a perfectionist, so that gets on my nerves sometimes when I'm strumming hard. I think that is just a problem with my instrument though, not the whole line. Overall, awesome uke!

...oh, but what do I know....

      By Bwana

Comments about Cordoba La Playa Tenor Ukulele:

Beauty little uke....sounds and plays nice, and it was almost in tune when I got it...comes with Aquila Italian strings...nice wood finish, but needs a good conditioning polish on the fingerboard....tuners seems fine...and is well strung...The gig bag is fairly robust...the interior lining is a silver version of those blue tarps you use as a ground cloth camping (tarpaulin).I'm still not sure where this thing is made. Cordoba address is Santa Monica, CA...but no indication of "Made In"....china, mexico, hawaii, etc, anywhere on the little guy...and it also appears to be truss rod-less...
