      This is the best uke on the market for 25, it has great tone but cheap strings. The strings always need to be tuned as they take awhile of constant tuning before they come into equilibrium. Also the colors are vibrant and look great, I got dark blue. Can't beat it I love this thing and its even made in China. If you got money I would look into about a 200 uke for quality.

            I bought one of these for my Mom's birthday after being disappointed by the Rogue starter pack. It tuned right up and the tone was very good, as good as more expensive ukes that I had tried at the music store. The only downside to this uke was the small blem in the paint in the front. Also note that this has a very glossy finish. Fingerprints will show like crazy on this (BTW, I bought the puprle). If fingerprints drive you nuts, you might want to keep a polishing cloth handy.

            As one other reviewer noted, the gig bag that comes with this isn't very substantial. You may want to buy a better one.

            The reason I gave this 4 instead of 5 stars was because of the blemish in the paint.

              I wanted to get a ukulele so that I could learn to play it. This one is beautiful and it sounds great. I plan on getting new strings, you definitely don't want to keep the originals but the ukulele itself is gorgeous, cheap, comes in a variety of colors, (I got purple) and is great especially for a novice ukulele player.

                I bought the yellow one with plans on taking it with me when I practice juggling with hopes of working it into a show. The price is great because it will get knocked around. I had my luthier put 2 strap buttons on it (I will be removing one) and I put a red LEVY'S child / uku strap. It looks the part. So far I haven't found anything wrong with it.
