I bought several of these to use in a program to teach young children. They seem to be decent instruments for the price. I like the geared tuners. Occasionally, one tuner will feel a little more flimsy than the others but nothing broken, just not as smooth to turn. The strings are good and the size is nice gor small children. The tuning holds initially, then goes flat after a little bit. But I haven't tested them long enough to see if the tuning will stay close to correct once the strings are stretched. Overall, I'm hopeful that these will be gpod instruments for my children's program and last a long time.

Comments about Diamond Head DU-150 Soprano Ukulele:

I have played guitar for about 8 years now but always wanted a ukulele and since it's inexpensive I figured I'd try it out. I love this little thing. Nice cheerful tone and it's a fun change of pace from my usual metal guitar style. The strings are new so they stretch a lot and require a lot of re-tuning at first but after you break the strings in a little they'll sound fine and stay in tune. Best of all it's small enough for my little daughter to play with and it's helping her get involved in music.

Comments about Diamond Head DU-150 Soprano Ukulele:

I just bought this from the local music shop about a week ago. I got it just to experiment with the sound (playing guitar songs on ukulele) Well you cant really do that easily because of the tuning of a ukulele. It took a little getting used to the tiny nylon strings after just playing guitar. Anyway, It's a lot of fun. I play it more than my guitars now and I've progressed quickly already. I have some chords and strumming down. It's difficult because it's so small and fragile, but once you play for a few days, it gets easier. I haven't had any problems with it, but it's still new. There's not a lot to say, what you see is what you get and the price is reasonable for it. I will eventually get a better one if I stick to playing it. It's my first ukelele, but I learn good on it so far, so I guess I can say it's good for beginners. Hope this helps. Peace out, piggies.

Comments about Diamond Head DU-150 Soprano Ukulele:

I bought this for my two little ones because they can't get their arms around a guitar, they drop everything, and they want to play along with Mom. It was so cheap, I figured it wouldn't make me cry when they inevitably break it. Also, because I was curious about what it was like to play one. I'm hooked! Not so sure about the kids, but I love it. Had to purchase some higher quality strings because the ones on there were absolutely terrible. It stays in tune pretty good from what I've heard about ukes. A big part of that is the strings though. The ones that came on it wouldn't stay in tune for more than 10 seconds and sounded like I put rubber bands on it. It's not a fabulous instrument, but it does it's job!

Comments about Diamond Head DU-150 Soprano Ukulele:

Bought this for my two year old grandson so he develops a familiarity with stringed instruments and not an "electronic toy". Well made, good looking. Nylon strings. Tuning is okay. I use a snark tuner to keep it in tune. If you are looking for a performance instrument, this is probably not for you. If you are looking to see if you "get" the ukelele concept, then it is for you. Hey! It''s an inexpensive, well made little ukelele. My fingers fit on the frets okay. Small fingers fit better than mine. With a few chords at your command, it is a fun instrument.

This was a "Deal of the Day" and I had to buy it. I have never really played a ukulele but it is a lot of fun.I am sure there are nicer ones out there but for the price and to just fool around at home it is perfect.

Comments about Diamond Head DU-150 Soprano Ukulele:

Bought this to see if my son would enjoy playing. Its definitely a starter instrument and if he stays with it, I'll have to buy him something better.

The stock strings were terrible, but after putting on a set of Aquila's and filing the saddle down to improve the action, it plays well.

I teach ukulele to kindergarten through fifth grade. Amazing to see the looks on their faces, when we play songs together and sing. As well, we play djembes, xylophones, and other percussion instruments, creating our own class band.

i am a beginner uke player...for the price, this soprano uke is a very good in quality and tone...it is not a toy..and although new strings stretch, the saddle, bridge, nut and tuners looks solid and keeps the strings in tact...and the body and soundboard gives it a very good, rich tone in this price range...after much research, i am glad i chose this as my first ukelele...if taken good care, this one will keep for many years...on-line purchase and delivery was very fast with secure packaging which i appreciate from musicians friend...good job...good purchase...
