Comments about Fender Concert Tone 63S F-Style Mandolin:
I've played guitar for over 30 years and just started on mandolin. Chords can be tricky but a lot of great sheet music on the internet to download free. I've been playing Irish tunes and having a great time. As i said to a coworker, you can have a bad day at work, come home and play Irish tunes on the mandolin and you can't stay in an unhappy mood!
Tuning pegs were very hard to turn upon arrival, but loosened up quickly. Stays in tune very well.
Great packaging, but only drawback is that it arrived with two plastic foam pieces under the bridge at either side. I had to loosen all the strings completely to lift and remove these pieces. For a novice this is somewhat concerning, as I did not wish to move the bridge and change the intonation.
