I'm not much of a banjo player, but I definatly know a quality instrument when I play one, and this baby is definatly quality! I have had it about a year and a half, and just replaced the head with a black remo, and put on new elixir strings, and this thing can sing. It is heavy, which can be deemed as good or bad depending on the person, but I'd feel bad for the floor if I were to drop it. Not to mention, the gold hardware is stunning. Really great, I recommend it!

I bought this for my 13 yr. old son who is a beginner. This thing is bright! The tone you get from this thing is amazing. The playability is just as great. Topped off with the walnut and gold finish, it sure is pretty. My family are gibson fans and not bashers in no way, but we have picked with 4 different mastertones now, and the owners have layed them down and picked his up, and loved it. The closest sound I've heard was from a high end Huss and Dalton. From beginner to pro you'll love it!
