i have played this mandolin multiple times at multiple stores. i have come to the conclusion that it is WAY overrated. this mandolin is supposed to be a top of the line mandolin, it isn't. the action isn't all that great, the sound is nice, but it really isn't all that nice. i think you can buy a micheal kelly for less and you will have a better mandolin.
My favourite attributes are the tone/volume and the intonation. Mine has very small fret wire (compared to other brands) which helps the playablity and intonation. I bought mine a few years back and I've notice the price has really climbed. If you can afford its worth it but don't go into debt for it. Feature wise I can't think of anything else maybe a piezo option might be nice. The thin finish helps the sound, its very warm sounding not harsh. The matte finish starts to shine after a while. Very solid, well built. Obviously hand made so the quality somewhat reflects that. If your more into fine furniture buy something else this is a work piece.
