Great Chrom

By Arlene Argondizza

from Maine

The Hering 5148 was my first chromatic harmonica, I have many others now but the Hering 5148 is the one i like to practice on. I've had it 9 years and it gives me very little problems , i just have to remember to keep it clean. The sound is mellow and it bends better than most other chroms.
Plastic comb, Brass reeds .Streight tuned 3 piece slide,
Excelent workmanship

My choice for this chromatic harmonica, Why is the sound that this harmonica can send to the listening auidence. I have an aging chromatic harmonica which is 15 years old. I have heard and experienced a Hering harmonica. They are built well and produce very good sound. I have listened to a blues sound that is a excellent use of a Hering chromatic. My 3 thoughts of why I have choosen this harminica. Ease of sound, the cicular make reed holes in construction, the ownership of other Hering harmonicas.
