Comments about Hohner Steven Tyler Signature Harmonica:
Let?s face it; this is a novelty/collector's item. Nothing wrong with that, but it's the reason for the high price. In reality, rock/blues players don?t rely on a single harp, but instead bring several different ones to a gig to cover all the different keys. The Steven Tyler harp is only made in the key of "A". But that's not unpractical, since you'd use an ?A? harp to play cross-harp over a song in ?E?, the most common rock band key. Unfortunately Can?t play ?Pink? on this though; that song is in G!Tyler was one of my inspirations for learning harmonica in the first place, so naturally I bought this item. Friends said that I shouldn?t really PLAY this harp, since it?s a collector?s item and all. But it IS a well-constructed harp. Very much like a Hohner Marine band, but a little higher in quality. Inside the fancy-textured box is the harp and a separate little plastic case above it, along with an autographed photo (mine looks printed-on but I could be wrong).
