Fabulous tone and a shockingly low price on a brass-bodied resonator with revolutionary design!

The Johnson JM-991 Tri-Cone Bell Brass Resonator Guitar has 3 - 6" aluminum resonator cones which are activated by the unique T-shaped bridge to provide superior tone balance and a sweeter, warmer sound. Gorgeous nickel-plated bell brass body enhances the JM-991 guitar's resonance. Stable Honduran mahogany neck with rosewood fretboard works as well for fingering as slide work. Suprisingly good value for the money.

By Mayor of Toneville

from Perkasie, PA

The finish work to the frets was poor. The fret ends were sharp and the fret crowns were not rounded and were hard on the fingers. I am an experienced guitar tech and easily corrected these problems. Otherwise, The fingerboard width, neck shape and all else are fine. At a fraction of the cost of other Tri-cone guitars, this is an outstanding value. Keep fresh strings on it and it has a very open, live sound.

Amazing guitar for the price

By robert mcfarland

from Ashville, Ohio

I compared other resonators for price and I have only played 1 in my life, but I just had to have one. It is heavy weight-wise, comparable to a Les Paul. I checked other websites and here was the best price and the customer service deserves an A+. I also bought a Tennessee gator skin case for this beauty. Make sure you get the one that fits the resonator guitars, the drednought case won't fit. Overall, the thing is pretty as a silver dollar, and the tone is incredible and the price - I could have bought 2 or 3 compared to other companies guitars. This guitar is well worth it and remember with the policy here you do have a trial period of 30 days if you don't like it, but you'll keep it if you order it!

Good guitar for the money

By Anonymous

from Undisclosed

This is an excellent guitar for the money. When I received the guitar the action was pretty high on it, which is alright if your planning to play slide. I play a variety of music, so I decided to lower the action, which caused a small buzzing on the low E string. This can probably be fixed with minor adjustments and a different set of strings. Overall this is a great guitar for the money
