Comments about Lanikai Curly Koa Series CK-6EK 6-String Tenor Ukulele with Fishman Kula Electronics:
I am a veteran musician of 22 years, but have been a uke player for a relatively short time (about 5 months) yet the ukulele was very easy to learn, so I wanted more of a challenge. The 6-sting ukulele gave me that challenge. The 6-string still uses the same tuning and finger placement as a traditional soprano uke, yet with 2 added strings on the C and A (both in octaves) so the sound is far warmer and full than a standard uke. This model in particular sounds, plays and looks fantastic. The electronics are top notch as well, the Fishman preamp works great and has a useful built in tuner (for when you forget yours at home). All in all this is a fantastic buy which I recommend for veteran musicians and advanced uke players!
