The Lanikai ukulele pack comes with a well-appointed concert ukulele made of koa with a rosewood fingerboard and bridge, gold-plated die-cast tuning machines, abalone rosette, body binding and fingerboard inlays, a gig bag, clip-on tuner, and instruction booklet—all at a killer price. A custom wide bone nut was used to increase the string spacing, making the LKP-C concert ukulele more comfortable for guitarists who are trying out the ukulele for the first time.
This Lanikai ukulele is strung with Aquila Nylgut Strings and includes a Lanikai Learn to Play Instruction Booklet.

Beautiful instrument. I probably would have gotten the tenor as even the concert is pretty small. Would be very hard for someone with larger fingers to play. But I am still very satisfied with this lovely Lanikai. Make sure you are patient as the strings break in, it took about a week for them to hold their tuning. Wonderful choice.

Overall, I would recommend this pack to beginners and to anyone who wants a uke they don't need to worry about. It is not the best quality, but it is playable, affordable, and comes with everything you need to start strumming.
This is perfect for a beginner because the pack provides everything you need to get started at an afffordable price.
This is a perfectly credible instrument with good sound. I think it is a good choice for a beginning musician or a young person. The instrument offers nice sound for an affordable price and being laminated koa does not require the care of a solid wood uke. While the construction of the instrument is solid, the finish work is not perfect. My instrument arrived with cosmetic flaws and imperfections. The Aquila Nylgut strings are a big plus.
For an experienced musician or someone who will undoubtely persist, I would suggest moving up to a higher quality instrument.
This pack provides a good value for the price and makes an affordable starter kit.

I've had this uke for a few weeks now. First off its a laminate and not solid Koa (whatdya expect for under $200). It is genuine Hawaiian Koa and with binding and rosette is a good looking instrument. Its a a great beginner soprano uke and maybe more - I'll have to see as I progress. But right of the box it played well and made playing fun & easy. I was playing songs within 20 minutes. No apparent dead spots on the neck and the fit and finish are very good and unnamed sealed tuners seem to work well. Its not a cheap toy and though i have nothing to compare it to i think it sounds pretty good the tuner and gig bag (more of a carrying case than protective case) are nice bonuses.I found the bridge corners and some frets to be a sharp and a file quickly and easily remedied those issues.

Well built, fit & finish is excellent - I did remove the saddle & sand the bottom down a bit to lower the action, but it stays in tune, sounds great, and looks like a much more expensive instrument. I also installed an inexpensive internal soundboard pickup and an end-pin jack. Yesterday I used it for my first gig with exceptional results, switching off between my uke & my trusty Taylor 314. It's really fun to play & the sound is everything I hoped it would be. I can't think of anything negative to say about this package. Even though the gigbag is not heavily padded, it still protected the ukelele just fine, the tuner is great for all instruments, I'm a happy camper. Go get it !

I got it right now today. This Ukulele sounds pretty good and looks great as I expected.I'm just biginner, So I would say..it's good for those people who start to learn.Ah I'm not from america..It's cheaper than my country ! I love my Ukulele :)

its come with everything you need and sounds great. best instrament for 159 that youll find anywhere i play guitar and bought this bc i do alot of traveling. easy switch and a blast to play.

an amazing sounding ukulele!!!! The tuners stay in tune foreever!! The Aquila strings provide great tone and durability, and the uke sounds great with them. The tuner it comes with is amazing and can tune any other instrument. The uke looks amazing feels amazing and is superb quality. Musiciansfriend should show the pictures of this amzing uke instead of the bag it comes with(the bag is great too). Believe me, this uke is an amazing buy, and it is made of KOA wood, which is extremely good looking.The gold tuners makes it look like a royal ukelele and the abalone inlays on the uke are cool looking.The dots on the rosewood fretboard are abolone also.The gig bag is extremely protective and looks awesome because it is not black. You will not be dissapointed with this classic sounding ukulele package. Get it. Lanikai ROCKS!!!!
