Comments about Lanikai Makapu u-T Hawaiian Solid Body Acoustic-Electric Tenor Ukulele:
Awesome looking, beautiful sounding, smooth playing, limited edition, made in Hawaii out of Hawaiian Koa with mahogany body and neck, chambered body, crisp piezo pickup, I could go on forever but I'd rather get back to playing this one! Unique inlay with laser cut logo in headstock. Smooth tuners. No serial number, which is a bit odd. Nut and bridge seem right on, intonation the same. This Lanikai Makapu'u is great for the performing player who needs to hook up to an amp and not worry about the feedback than can accompany hollow bodied instruments when playing in a loud environment. Smooth neck, frets well dressed. Comes with a padded gig bag and a necklace pendant that are an extra bonus. No ka oi Brah! #1 for sure! I will most certainly be purchasing more Lanikai Hawaiian made instruments in the future! There is a similar one with spalted mango wood in place of the Koa top on this model that I'm curious to compare soundwise. I play traditional Hawaiian, Christmas tunes and heavy metal on mine!
