Lanikai

A deep baritone ukulele sound provides a strong foundation for your island tunes.

With its solid spruce top and mahogany back and sides, Lanikai's S-B Baritone Ukulele from the Solid Spruce Series has bold projection for those late night jam sessions on the beach. Die-cast tuning machines ensure long hours of stress-free playing.

The big baritone ukulele body produces the deepest uke tone, with much more projection than the standard soprano body. It's ideal for performing on stage, performing rhythmic strumming, as the projection and deep tone on the Lanikai S-B Baritone Uke sound great.

With its easy playability and included instruction booklet written by renowned ukulele instructor Mary Lou Dempler, you will be playing in a matter of minutes. If you have never played ukulele before get ready for a world of fun. The ukulele is an addicting instrument that can and will be taken everywhere. If you can play one ukulele you can play them all.

This ukulele is strung with Aquila Nylgut strings and includes a Lanikai Learn to Play instruction booklet.

Lanikai S-B baritone ukulele

Features:

Its close to fantastic, and at the least a 9 out of 10.  Its somewhat expensive, but it projects well, fit and finish are great, and has a solid spruce top.  You tune it like a guitar except you don't have a 5th and 6th string. I bought a separate case to protect it I liked it so well.

The neck is narrow, making it  easy to play bar chords, and its a great rhythm instrument.  Because the neck is narrow I found it a little hard to finger pick the instrument.

Quality:

Fit and finish was excellent, and no adjustments were necessary.  The strings on it projected very well.  The string height was correct.

Value:

I own several ukuleles and its the best of the lot.

Overall:

I never had a second thought after buying and playing it.  Its been wonderful because its portable, sounds good, and looks good.

I just received this baritone for Christmas.  It is a great instrument.  Tone, action and finish quality is excellent.  The 3rd and 4th strings were tarnished when I took out of the box and the 4th string broke while tuning up for the first time.  Luckily, I had a string I could use until I ordered replacement strings.  In spite of this, I think it is a great ukulele and would highly recommend anyone considering buying a baritone to look closely.  Also consider buying an extra set of strings, just in case.

The Lanikai S-B Baritone Ukulele.  This sweet, little instrument plays like the top 4 strings of a 6-string acoustic.  Pretty good, strong sound and keeps it's tuning with D'Addrio Baritone Uke strings.  With the gig bag (either baritone uke or mandolin) , this baby is great for travel and going to friends' backyard parties.  You'll find yourself picking it up at any opportunity to pick or strum.
