      OVERVIEW

The sounds of the islands, presented in deep, natural koa.

The Luna Guitars High-Tide Koa Concert Ukulele aptly takes it's inspiration from the full moon at the first fret which causes the abalone wave fret markers below it to "rise" as they make their way up the fretboard towards the moon's pull. High-Tide ukes are crafted from exotic tropical hardwoods, and the Luna "full moon" sticker inside the soundhole is framed by an abalone ring.

This beautiful Luna ukulele features a deep koa body, producing full, deep sound along with the instrument's concert body size. The cutaway offers comfort when accessing the upper-register frets, and the nato/mahogany neck and rosewood bridge and fretboard add lasting sustain and clarity to your tone. The open-style tuners keep the instrument in precise tuning and the onboard preamp provides easy amplification that can be dialed in quickly. Dressed in a satin finish and featuring a rosewood binding, you won't believe your eyes with the ukulele's natural beauty. Just wait 'til you hear it.

      Includes a gig bag.

Very Happy with this Luna. I have a Kala Tenor and this is a great Ukulele. I play it more than the Kala. This is a great first Ukulele. If you are thinking of learning the Ukulele, this is a great one to start one. The tone and sound quality is great, you will want to play this ukulele for hours and hours!

Comments about Luna Guitars High-Tide Koa Concert Ukulele:

I am happy with this ukulele, however, I am a novice uke player, although I have been playing guitar for 45 years. I think that the tone is good, as is the fretboard, and the laminated Koa body. The only downside is the need for frequent tuning, more than I would expect for the Grover tuners on the headstock. This is not a problem for me as I tune my instruments frequently, anyway.

In summary, for the price I am very satisfied.

Comments about Luna Guitars High-Tide Koa Concert Ukulele:

OK, so after reading reviews for this on A LOT of websites, i decided to take a chance buying a Uke I've not played. I know i wanted a Koa wood Uke, and tried a bunch at a local shop. Didn't like the tone of any of them.

This Uke sounds awesome. . . maybe a little quiet in the volume department (when not plugged in obviously) but that's probably due to the fact that it's a laminated Koa top instead of solid.

Still sounds very sweet. . . a nice mix of sweet highs and smooth lows.

If you're worried about buying a Uke without playing it. . .BUY THIS ONE!

The only complaint i have is that the electronics don't have a tuner built in. . . I mean really?? why didn't they spend the extra buck to put one in at the factory

Comments about Luna Guitars High-Tide Koa Concert Ukulele:

I just got this uke in yesterday and I cannot stop playing it. I wasn't expecting it to come with a gig bag so that was a plus. I had to tune it (duh) when i got it and it has remained in perfect tuning since. I was slightly worried about how it would sound plugged up but it's honestly pretty gorgeous. The preamp could have been a little more elaborate, but I can't complain too much. Once I had added some mids to the mix it was sounding professional. The only flaw to this instrument, or my instrument, was the head stock. The tuners have glue imprinted everywhere. Kind of sloppy looking but the tuners work great. Lastly, the body of this uke is very stern and sexy looking. I could probably slam this thing against a wall and it not break. I am very impressed with this uke and would love for others to buy it.

Really impressed by ukuleles tone acoustically. Although I havent plugged it in yet. Beautiful abalone inlay for price. Very good easy to play action.
Also came all the way to New Zealand and I was worried about any damage which might occur in shipping. But it was packaged really well, arrived in one week and in perfect condition.

Comments about Luna Guitars High-Tide Koa Concert Ukulele:

I bought this ukulele a few months ago. I picked between this and an Ibanez model. I'm very happy with this decision.I like how it sounds acoustic and electric.
Seems to be very well made and I get a lot of compliments on the look or it.
This seems to be asw good or better than other models in and above the price range.

Second uke. Amp'd sound is excellent. Holds tune well after strings stretch. Very happy with this model. Plan to purchase a couple more lesser priced Luna's to keep my kids away from mine. My son and daughter love it. My son plugs it in to his Fender amp and pedals and plays rock music on it. I would and will buy luna again.

            A fine instrument

Comments about Luna Guitars High-Tide Koa Concert Ukulele:

I didn't know a ukulele could sound this good. It is a fine musical instrument.
As full featured as a Ukulele can get with pre-amp and acoustic pickup installed.
Excellent fit and finish with beautiful bookmatched koa. Tuning machines are high grade and hold tune with no adjustment. Acoustic amplification works beautifully through a Fishman loudbox mini. Rating would be 10 if a plastic wire retainer for the preamp wires was not loose. This is an easy to fix item that I will take care of at the first string change
This is the second Luna Uke I've purchased and they give excellent value

            Awesome Uke For the Price!!!

Comments about Luna Guitars High-Tide Koa Concert Ukulele:

Overall, I highly reccomend this uke!!
This is my second Luna Ukulele purchase and it won't be my last.
This a quality instrument and is very well made. The attention to detail is unline anything else I have seen in this price range. The neck has amazing abalone waves as fret markers and the rosette has a matching abalone ring. The wood is koa laminate and is very atractive with several shades of deep brown.
I could not find a better ukulele for the money in terms of value.

            I love this little Uke!

            By

            from Independence, MO

Comments about Luna Guitars High-Tide Koa Concert Ukulele:

This little Luna Koa High Tide Uke as my first ukulele. I'd never played one before, nor really done a lot of looking. I fell in love with the look of this instrument and its quality. It's beautiful and sounds great! I took it home, along with a uke chord chart and in ten minutes had learned a song we want to play at church. I introduced it to my worship band and they LOVE the sound. I will play it in worship as often as I can! This little Luna is definitely worth the price! Love it!
Great little on-board EQ and beautiful wood with alabone inlays!
            Great sound and beautiful construction!
A good buy for the price. Excellent sound in for a mid-range priced ukulele.
