Comments about Mahalo U-200 Soprano Ukulele:

I just received this Ukulele in the mail today and for what it cost, you really can't beat it. The construction is pretty good but you still have to be kinda careful, it is little. The strings that were on it when I opened the box were good but when I purchased the Ukulele I got a set of strings with it and replaced them about an hour after I got it. It has a nice bright and pretty crisp sound. I would definitely use this Ukulele on stage and I've been playing on stage for the past 15 years. It's great for beginners and it's also great for experienced musicians. All in all, is a great little instrument.

Disappointed with ordering process, backorder process and quality of workmanship. This ukulele looses its tuning daily. Wish I would have heeded the reviews when purchasing.

Poor intonation, high action

Comments about Mahalo U-200 Soprano Ukulele:

I'm a long-time guitarist, and this was my first ukulele. So, I chose the Mahalo U-200 as a lower-priced one, figuring that I didn't need too much instrument as a beginner, and I really just wanted one to fool around on. This uke wasn't even sufficient just to play around with. It was more like a toy than a true musical instrument. It would not keep in tune, and the intonation was off even while still in the first position and playing unisons. Correspondingly, the action was extremely high, higher even than my classical guitar. Overall, it has been a very disappointing experience, and I'm returning it for a higher-priced (and hopefully much better) model. To any fellow guitarists looking for their first uke experience, I would strongly recommend against the Mahalo U-200.

      Nice Unit.

Comments about Mahalo U-200 Soprano Ukulele:

This is a nice sounding unit. The tone is beautiful for the size and the tuning stays pretty much in place once the strings have been stretched for a day. i am very happy with this package.
It has all the features a beginner could ask for.
It is a nice sounding and well built Uke for the price.
You get alot of product for the price they charge.

      Poor workmanship

      By Michael Herrett

      from Seattle Area

Comments about Mahalo U-200 Soprano Ukulele:

I had to send this uke back to MF...several important frets weren't set in the wood properly and bowed up on the edges. It was impossible to play a G chord since the top string was deadened by the 3rd fret. I had better luck the the less expensive painted U-30's...kept all 4 of those that I ordered for my kids for Xmas.

      Good for the money.

      By Timmy D.

Comments about Mahalo U-200 Soprano Ukulele:

Just got this in the mail today. For 35 bucks, I couldn't ask for anything better. It feels sturdy, which is good. At first it didn't stay tuned, but I tightened the machine heads with a screwdriver and it's fine now. It has a nice natural wood finish. It also sounds great. Overall, I'm pretty satisfied.
