I just want to start out by saying this is a great mandolin. I have been playing for several years, and I bought my grandson one for his birthday- I nor he could not be happier. This is a great little mandolin for the money, the Fishman electronics will knock your socks off and the gold hardware pops like Popeye's bicep. Buy you want be disappointed!
I ordered this mando twice and returned it both times. It playing well and sounded great acoustically, but I purchased it for stage performance. In both instances, the output signal from the fishman preamp was so low that the signal at the board had to be literally maxed out. At that level, there was in our case an electric hum that we had to live with the one time I performed with it.
I bought this beauty over a year ago.I still love it!!I play it everyday, and the radius neck feels great.First I bought a Epiphone MM50.Ended up sending two back before stepping up to this. The Fishman P.U. works great thru a Fender Ultrasonic amp.I play with A county band, and also a Bluegrass band works great for both.At B.G. festivals everyone is very impressed with the way it feels. You won't be sorry!!!!!!
