I've purchased 40 Rogue baritone ukes in the past three years to use in teaching music to inner city kids. The ukes don't cost much so there's not much risk if a kid breaks his. The baritone uke is a also a great gateway to guitar later on. The uke is machine made, so there are adjustments to be made to some. I sometimes sand down the saddle to bring the strings closer to the neck, and I often file sharp edges on sides of the frets to make them smooth and more playable. But spending 10 minutes to save half the price of better ukes is a good investment of my time.

this uke is great for someone who is wanting something to just play around on,or a beginner not yet sure if they want to make a commitment, and not use it in a serious setting. It is an awesome price and has nice geared tuning knobs. The overall quality of the uke is very sloppy! I was not impressed by all of the visible glue on the product, as well as all of the nicks, and dents in the neck and fret board. the sound isn't terrible but after you change the srings it doesnt sound half bad. Overall, a cheap but an ok beginner uke.
color of product is nice, it has nice tuning knobs, sound is not bad for money.
chipping on neck and fret board, visible glue on entire ukulele, rough spots on neck around fret dots.
great price for any instrument, just isn't the best quality.

It needed some light work to lower the action and a better set of strings. It was bought as a first instrument for an 8 year old beginner.

Bought this for a Christmas gift for my daughter. It was packaged well and was inside its case in the box. It took it out to inspect it and play it, I was impressed that for the money the finish was nice and it sounded pretty good. I think if your planning on trying out a baritone uke this is a great guitar for the money

                  Comments about Rogue Baritone Ukulele:

This is what I usually expect from a really low cost instrument, having said that, it is perfectly playable and is a useful introduction for someone who wants to learn either guitar or baritone ukulele. You won't get much here; however, you can play it and see if a baritone is right for you and then buy a nicer one later which was exactly my intent.

                  Comments about Rogue Baritone Ukulele:

I was really surprised and delighted with the quality of this Ukulele given its low price. It is built tough. It has its superficial flaws, but it works well. Great for practice and taking to places where it might be damaged. Bought some Aquila strings but have not put them on. The original string are usable for now. I played Ukulele years ago, and decided I'd try again. It's gradually coming back to me. If you want a knock-around Bari Ukulele, this is a good one!

                      Comments about Rogue Baritone Ukulele:

I figured that for the price that Musician's Friend was asking for this uke, I could afford to take a chance on an instument I'd never tried before, so I did it. Boy, am I happy that I did! As I already play a little guitar, knowing the chords was already within my capability, so playing this little guy was a go from the beginning. As others have mentioned, it's sturdy, playable, and most of all, it's cheap! Beginners should always start cheap and move up if they like what they have. I did change the the strings to the least expensive D'Addario's the MF had (EJ87B Titaniums) and they seemed much sturdier and the fun began. Get one, you'll love it!
