I've purchased 40 Rogue baritone ukes in the past three years to use in teaching music to inner city kids. The ukes don't cost much so there's not much risk if a kid breaks his. The baritone uke is a also a great gateway to guitar later on. The uke is machine made, so there are adjustments to be made to some. I sometimes sand down the saddle to bring the strings closer to the neck, and I often file sharp edges on sides of the frets to make them smooth and more playable. But spending 10 minutes to save half the price of better ukes is a good investment of my time.

this uke is great for someone who is wanting something to just play around on,or a beginner not yet sure if they want to make a commitment, and not use it in a serious setting. It is an awesome price and has nice geared tuning knobs. The overall quality of the uke is very sloppy! I was not impressed by all of the visible glue on the product, as well as all of the nicks, and dents in the neck and fret board. the sound isn't terrible but after you change the srings it doesnt sound half bad. Overall, a cheap but an ok beginner uke.
color of product is nice, it has nice tuning knobs, sound is not bad for money.
chipping on neck and fret board, visible glue on entire ukulele, rough spots on neck around fret dots.
great price for any instrument, just isn't the best quality.

Buying Second One

Comments about Rogue Baritone Ukulele:

Don't expect a high-end instrument at a low-end price. If you expect a decent sounding beginner instrument, you will be more than satisfied. The nice thing about a baritone uke is that most folks use standard guitar tuning. I am getting a second one for my 7-year-old granddaughter who would like to learn to play the guitar but can't yet handle a full-size instrument. Nylon strings are easier for young fingers. If she decides she doesn't want to continue, it's no huge lost investment. I've had mine more than a year and it has held up quite well. Nice quality tuners help it get in tune and stay in tune.

Amazing buy

    Comments about Rogue Baritone Ukulele:

I bought this baritone to hack up and turn into a Baritone resonator. I though the risk was low since all I needed was a decent neck with frets in the right places. I own 6 various baritone ukuleles including a banjolele and an 8 string and needed to add a resonator to the mix. But on arrival and tuning it up, this Rogue is way to good to hack up. The finish is ugly and it looks cheap with it's stick on fret markers and painted on rosette, but once the strings are upgraded it plays easy, is in tune most of the way up the neck and sounds the way a baritone is supposed to. Who wouldn't want a 40 buck ukulele that actually works? So it would be great for a beginner or someone who's scared to take their high buck ukulele out in the weather.

New uke student and this is the perfect instrument. The quality is surprisingly good for an instrument as inexpensive as this and I am looking forward to many years of beautiful sound.

It needed some light work to lower the action and a better set of strings. It was bought as a first instrument for an 8 year old beginner.

Bought this for a Christmas gift for my daughter. It was packaged well and was inside its case in the box. It took it out to inspect it and play it, I was impressed that for the money the finish was nice and it sounded pretty good. I think if your planning on trying out a baritone uke this is a great guitar for the money

This is what I usually expect from a really low cost instrument, having said that, it is perfectly playable and is a useful introduction for someone who wants to learn either guitar or baritone ukulele. You won't get much here; however, you can play it and see if a baritone is right for you and then buy a nicer one later which was exactly my intent.
