Mandolim and ukelele plus gig bags for a very reasonable price.
THe mandolim is very good. The ukelele not so much. But good for learning

Mandolin needed a saddle hight adjsutment and bridge location change, but after that played in tune without any issues. Action is good, and for a beginner instrument plays quite well.
Uke needed a bit more work as the nut height was not uniform so some reduction in string height was needed (using a razor blade very carefully on the nut grooves). After the adjustment and getting the strings stretched enough (and slightly tightening the tuners), uke played well enough for practice and learning.
Neither instrument is ready for the concert hall or gig, but for learning a new instrument is more than ok.

I'm a musician but a first time mandolin and uke player. I bought these to learn how to play. They're ok for the purpose. The uke wouldn't hold tune until I tightened the pegs and even now I wonder if the frets are off or if I'm using them wrong. (I play guitar and violin.)

Overall a good purchase for a beginner. The mandolin doesn't have the greatest tone. The ukelele tuners had to be tightened before it would hold tune. The ukelele case is low quality, but okay for storing. The mandolin case is better quality. Good purchase for beginners or for practicing, but isn't good enough for performing.

Not too impressed with either instrument, but you get what you pay for! Uke does not stay tuned, but I hope in time it will (I have to tune after every song played and sometimes even in the middle of playing!). Mandolin when tuned broke two strings the first time. If you are a beginner these may work for you just don't get frustrated with tuning.The sound of the instruments was adequate other than the mandolin strings need to be totally redone - the strings it come with are awful, but should sound better with upgraded strings.

I only wanted a mandolin, but since this was the same price as a regular mandolin package, I decided to get a good deal. I read some of the reviews saying the mandolin is great, and it is. All you have to do is tune it a little bit, but it really is pretty good quality. The ukulele is pretty decent as well. The tuning screws are a bit loose, so tuning will be a bit difficult at first. However, once you fix that, the sound is amazing. I've never played any string instruments before, but I feel like I've been playing these for years now. I would highly recommend this for any beginners willing to learn.
This truly is worth the money. I honestly feel like I've gotten more than I paid for.

I was just going to get a ukulele, but I've been wanting a mandolin...So I thought I'd get this package. The ukulele isn't the greatest quality (more of a starter), but the mandolin alone is worth the price. I'd read another review saying that the instruments wouldn't stay tuned; but once you break them in they're fine. The mandolin actually stayed tuned really well just after playing it once. It sounds amazing and all my friends want a mandolin now too lol (which I pointed them to this website). So all in all: If you're looking for a good deal, this is the package to get. The mandolin is super awesome and the ukulele isn't bad. So just click the order button already. Lol
