OVERVIEW

Open back, slim neck.

If you're new to the four-string banjo, there's no better place to start than a Rover RB-20P Plectrum banjo. The RB-20P is an open-back banjo with a modern composite rim--light and easy to carry--and a professionally styled neck designed for fast and easy playing. The long, 26 3/8-inch scale in the Plectrum tuning makes close harmony chords a breeze. Learning the banjo has never been so fun--or affordable. Four string banjo is excellent for olt time music, dixieland, sing alongs, and other kinds of music as well.

Easy to learn, easy to play, easy to love. Order today.

Comments about Rover RB-20P 4-String Plectrum Banjo:

Good but keep in mind that this is not a high end instrument and will require some setup. If you don't know how to do a setup take it to a music shop that does (keep in mind not all shops have a tech on staff). Once I got the bridge in place I had to raise the action a bit (deering has videos on how to do it on youtube) and reset the bridge to get the intonation right. It plays pretty good, not the loudest banjo but I wanted a plectrum banjo since I don't play 5 string.

I wouldn't recommend this to a beginner unless they have a teacher that can help with the setup, etc. and why would anybody start with a 4 string anyway? but if you want to add a 4 string to your collection this is a good enough for little cash.
