This little accordian has an acceptable tone, but the reeds for the tremelo started malfunctioning 6 months after I bought it. Most of the other reviews seem satisfactory,so puchasing this product may be a gamble.

The external body isn't in the greatest shape. The rhinestones appear to be poorly super glued on and theres several spots where the body is missing a small bit of paint.
Sound quality is great, but physical quality not so much. I'd only recommend this as a starter instrument.

I decided to learn to play the accordion and bought this one to learn on since it is priced as a low-end student accordion. I have almost no experience with accordions so I have very little to compare it to. This accordion weighs about 16 lbs. I am a small middle-aged female and this is about as much weight as I can handle. I wish it were a little lighter but it is the lightest piano accordion I could find.
I have noticed that the air release button tend to stick and has to be pulled up from time to time. I do not use the button but it inadvertently will get depressed by the straps.
Also, I'm not sure if it is my ametuer abilities or a flaw with the accordion but the low C makes a burping sound when I have it depressed and change direction on the billows.
Other than those two problems, it plays fine and has a very nice sound.

Customer Service was GREAT helping me with information and product knowledge. Product came ahead of promised date. Yes it plays and sounds as good as it looks in the picture, and especily so at this price. I would describe the tone as Italian Musette, when the two closely unison mini-ranks play together. Supplied Hard Case and padded straps of nice quality and also a bonus at this price. Very Happy with my purchase experience. Thank You!

I love this little Accordion!! It has that sweet, Classic Italian Tremello voice when the Master(center) coupler is selected, and a straight non-tremollo voice as the alternet. Its only about 12 pounds and is smaller and easier to play than larger models. It is Beautifully made, with sparkling Rhinestones, Pearloid finish and gold leaf lettering "SofiaMari" and the case and straps are both nicer than I expected. No need to upgrade !! Bottom Line: A very SWEET Accordion for an entry level price. In Fact Im going to go downstairs to my studio and play it now!! !!

For the last year or so I've been playing a 12-bass, made-in-China, beginniners accordion. It's been fun but I needed to expand. I tried playing my daughter's full-sized 60-bass accordion a few times but found it too large, heavy, and difficult to handle. This smaller 48-bass model seemed like a very happy medium. And it is! And though it is Chinese-made, it definitely has an improved sound and playability over my 12-bass. Though I must admit, I miss being able to play down to the lower G that I could on my old one. This one is patterned after the Honers that start on a B. The appearance is beautiful. I love looking at it and on stage it is an eye catcher.

I wanted to learn how to play accordion and I came up on this box. Not knowing a thing about accordions or how to play one I ordered it. As far as I can tell it is a great box and it sounds great, lined right up with a tuner. Many compliments from guys who play squeezeboxes, good value, Can' beat it.
