Does what it is supposed to. Dots are pretty thick but quite sturdy. Came with a green led light that doesn't charge the dots very well. I keep a 3 white led flashlight clipped to my strap, 3 seconds per dot lasts about 2 hours of stage time. Perfect for playing on super dark stages if you have trouble seeing your side dots.

I use these on my bass guitars because the fret markers on the side of the neck are too small to see even in normal light, let alone on a darkened stage. I tape over the fret markers so its smooth and the fret markers are protected from me knocking them off... and I still have the light charger from a few years ago which comes in handy if the bass has been in its case all day and the markers aren't
charged. If I remember correctly, they are charging the same price now as they did when they sent you the whole "kit" along with instructions. They send a couple different sizes of stickers, the smaller ones supposedly to put directly on the fretboard, but I use them all as side markers... as long as they're glowing it really doesn't matter how big they are... you can still see them in the dark. As long as you put clear tape over them and remember to leave your guitar out of its case so they'll charge off of residual light (since they don't include the charger) these will work as they should. They really help to see where you are on your instrument in the dark.
Several years ago, these were sold with a mini light that would "charge" the markers before going on stage. They also included a small roll of clear tape to tape over the markers so your hand wouldn't knock them off of the side of the guitar, and a piece of velcro to stick the light/charger on the back of your headstock so it was always handy. Why they no longer include the tape and the charger is beyond me... especially since all they send you now is just the glow-in-the-dark stickers and no instructions for the same price.
I guess they're decent quality... but they're just glow-in-the-dark stickers.
For me, these stickers are of great value because I can now see where I am on the fretboard
in the dark. I only use them on the side of the fretboard with clear tape over them... and I use one long length of tape for the whole side of the fretboard. That way the tape ends won't curl up after you run your hand over them a few times. It takes a little work to line it up correctly and to keep the tape from overlapping and getting lumpy... but for me its worth it. I can't really see the little paint dots
that are on the side of the neck, so I place these over them, tape them down and hit them with the charger (or leave the guitar next to a lamp or something so they'll charge).

            Fretlord glow dotz

Comments about Fretlord GlowDotz Glow In the Dark Fret Markers:

Id give them a higher rating if they glowed brighter and had longer initial max glow time. But they do retain nice bit of glow in total dark effect for a few hours. Main bright glow time is just a few minutes.
Has the ability to glow in the dark after being exposed to blacklight & sunlight. Regular indoor ligthing can charge them if exposed for a few hrs. But your not going to get much effect from short exsposure to regular indoor lightbulbs, or led flashlights like the mini one that comes with these. However if you luck out and get a green or red one they do make for nice mini dance lights glow stick style. Lol. The little dotz originally meant for side of fretbaord markers do have a noticeble little felt bump to them on the neck. I dont use them for that as result. Instead I use some for control knob markers and either 2 or 4 of them for the 12 &/or 24th fret marker. You dont get enough big dotz to do a 24 fret bass or guitar. So you have to use a couple of the smaller onesat minimum. This works quite well for 12th and 24th fret markers where you use 2 dotz visually anyway.
Overall I rate these very good and have put them on several basses and guitars. Ive also used some for things like remote control buttons highlighters. Even though you really only notice significant glow in dark effect after a few minutes from them in very dark rooms, they are 2-3 times more easilly visible then regular abolone or other white dot or block/inlay type fret markers. Even in regular room light etc. This being why I like them so much. They glow and are much more visible in regular to dar indoor lighting.
For the price the value is excellent.

            Bassman

            By The Tim Man

Comments about Fretlord GlowDotz Glow In the Dark Fret Markers:

I will likely buy them again. If you can see your fretmarkers and your just buying them to glow in the dark....yeah...they do and they are ok for that (they don't glow forever and frankly I'm not really sure it would be worth buying them just for that). They are much better simply as fret markers for I can at least say basses that have lame dots on them that you cannot see. I was worried putting stickers on a thousand dollar bass guitar, but they work great and now I can clearly see what fret I am on.
I'd have given it a 5, but I don't know how they work on guitars. I bought them for my girlfriend's very expensive bass guitar because the alabone markers were barely visible. They work great on bass guitars and it has been an excellent investment.
They are little glow in the dark stickers. They have never come off the bass since they were put on.
I guess they could be cheaper, but they do what they need to....the stickers are visible and they do work.
