About Gibson:

It doesn't take a guitar historian or even a musician to recognize the Gibson name. With some of history's most recognized guitars under its belt, including the Les Paul, ES-335 and SG, this Nashville-based luthier is a titan of the music scene. Starting in 1902 with a focus on mandolins, and in the first few decades they were already making history with the invention of the archtop guitar. By the 1930s, they had added flat-top acoustics to their offerings, and in 1952, they introduced the iconic Les Paul electric guitar. It was the first solid-body electric guitar from Gibson - not to mention one of the earliest from any luthier - and it cemented their place in the industry.

Today, the Les Paul is going as strong as ever, available in a variety of styles including the Les Paul Standard, Les Paul Studio and more. It even bounced back from a total redesign in the 1960s (that version still survives, of course, as the Gibson SG). In the decades since that initial '52 Les Paul, we've seen groundbreaking designs like the Gibson Firebird and Explorer added to the lineup, while Gibson has stayed true to its roots at the same time, with a strong roster of semi-hollow, hollow-bodied, archtop and acoustic instruments. You'll find all of those and more in this section, with guitars ranging from entry-level stage models to ultra-collectible custom designs and limited editions.

So go ahead and start looking for your dream Gibson. Do you want a classic like the 2018 Gibson Les Paul Traditional Electric Guitar? How about a dramatic boost to your stage presence with the 2018 Explorer Electric Guitar? The ES-335 and ES-339 from the Gibson Memphis factory are ready and waiting if you prefer that classic semi-hollow sound - or maybe you're not looking for an electric guitar at all. If you're more of an acoustic strummer or picker, Gibson's 2018 lineup from their Bozeman, Montana factory offers updates to their classics like the J-45, Hummingbird and SJ-200 acoustic guitars. Finally, bassists need not feel left out. Gibson has a few sweet picks to choose from, including the EB Bass T and the gorgeous 2015 and 2016 ES-Les Paul Semi-Hollow Electric Bass Guitar models. Whether you're a classic rocker, a strummer or just have the blues, Gibson has a great guitar for you.
