Gold Coverage steps in where the manufacturer's warranty ends and protects you from damage and loss not usually covered by manufacturers. This plan covers you for up to 3 years from your date of purchase, and costs just pennies per day.

Covers much more than the original manufacturer's warranty:
1. Damage due to normal wear and tear
2. Damage due to unexpected and unintentional spills, drops, and impacts
3. Damage due to dust, internal heat, humidity, heavy usage
4. Damage caused by lightning/power surge
5. No Lemon Policy on merchandise over $200 - if it fails for the same reason 3 times, it is replaced on the 4th breakdown.
6. Complete refund in the event of failure or substandard performance on merchandise under $200 (Musician's Friend Gift Certificate sent for the full price plus applicable sales tax paid).
7. Manufacturer's Specs Coverage - The product does not need to fail to be covered. If the product does not perform as it did the first day you bought it, we will repair or replace it so that it does.

Gold Coverage contracts cover parts and labor costs resulting from a mechanical or electrical failure of the product. You are protected from damage caused by normal wear & tear, dust, internal heat, humidity, or power surge to the following components:

Electronic circuitry, including:

Internal power supplies
External power supplies
Switches
Screen damage for products with LCD displays
Cracked lens for electronics with lenses
All internal wiring
Input/output jacks
Pickups
Motors
Potentiometers (pots)
Recording heads
Drum triggers
Keyboard sensor

Moving parts, including:

Belts
Motors
Diaphragms
Transport mechanisms
Sliders
Faders
Knob mechanics

Factory preset functions and processes, including

Preprogrammed sound samples
Preprogrammed special effects

Touch-velocity-sensitive mechanisms, including:

Drum triggers
Keyboard sensors
Rhythm machine pads

What Is Not Covered
Incidental or consequential damages or preexisting conditions. Damage from abuse or misuse. Battery leakage, improper use of any power supply, introduction of foreign objects into the product, unauthorized product modifications or alterations, failure to follow the manufacturer's instructions, third party actions (fire, collision, vandalism, theft, etc.), the elements or acts of God. Preventative maintenance, cracking or other physical or cosmetic damage to the product. Defects related to "Year 2000 problem," "Millenium Bug," or "Year 2K." The subjective nature of "sound."

The following items are ineligible for GOLD COVERAGE Protection and are not covered if sold with an eligible item:

Raw speakers or speaker cones, lighting or stage equipment, monitors or enclosures or cabinetry, product sold without a manufacturer's warranty. Accessories, expendables, and supplies; including batteries, antennas, cords, novelties, tubes, cartridges, styluses, records, audio/video disks, tapes, computer software or disks, strings, skins, drumheads, drumsticks, cables, cymbals over $200, and bulbs. Products permanently installed in a physical commercial venue or rentals.

Limit of Liability: The least of the cost of (1) authorized repairs, (2) replacement with a product of similar features, (3) reimbursement for authorized repairs or replacement, or (4) the price that you paid for the product.
