The old folks got it right with this pick idea many years a ago. Very comfortable to use. Great quality. Becuase I always use a thicker pick or plectrum, I prefer the 1mm, and thicker. In fact, the 1mm is what I consider a 'thin pick" and the 1.26 mm would be my medium to heavy gauged preference, speaking only for myself of course. These cork grip picks are also great for bass players as well, provide an exceptional tone and like one of the reviewers below stated, absorb shock better than most other picks. Again, perfect for bass players or guitar players who use heavier stings (I.e flat wounds). Why are they a little more pricey? From what I understand, "cork" has risen in price in the last decade or so. Why? I've no clue.

I would recommend to avoid this pick if the resaon you want it is to avoid slipping. The thickness with the cork glued on makes the pick far too thick. The sponginess of the cork actually makes the pick looser in your grip and requires you to squeeze the pick harder. While the pick comes in standard gauge sizes and stiffness the stiffness is too greatly impacted by the cork.
I would certainly recommend some other picks with materials designed to be slip resistant or the sand style picks that are rougher to improve your grip.
You may find the pick more useful if your reasoning is because you have hand or thumb problems and you need the cork to absorb shock. My opinion is if you have that problem the pick will still be loose and you'll find yourself gripping harder causing more problems.
The cork on the pick is supposed to help with your grip however it's spring as a material makes it too loose and in many cases hurts your accuracy.
Basically its cork glued onto a pick.
Not worth it, better to get a pick out of the non slick materials that are available

Comments about Clayton Cork Grip Standard Guitar Pick 6 Pack:

I usually use 1.0mm picks so I decided to go and give these a chance. They are very comfortable and have a nice feel with the cork. I would suggest to get one thickness less than your usual. With the cork it adds to the thickness. The cork also takes away the vibration when strings are plucked. To some a good thing but I like to feel the vibration so I can feel how hard I'm picking. I prefer these more for acoustic guitars. Overall a nice addition to your ashtray of picks.

Comments about Clayton Cork Grip Standard Guitar Pick 6 Pack:

Simple but effective. I use a fairly stiff pick, the .80mm is perfect for me.

The positioning of the pick in my fingers is crucial to my style, and achieving top speed. It has to be just right.

The little circle of cork is all it takes to give me a sure grip, and most importantly a "reference point" so I can feel exactly where the pick is under my thumb and keep it there. That's the main benefit for me.

If you have problems with picks sliding around or slipping under your fingers like I do, try these picks. They stay put and they've been the only ones I've used for several years. I swear by them. Sometimes the cork rings fall off; there's room for improvement; but most of the rings outlast the pick itself. Find the thickness you like best. I like the 80's and 63's.

Everyone seems to be mentioning breaking picks,I hesitate to tell you that any pick made WILL NOT make you a picker.Learn to play and let your guitar and amp set up do their job.You don't need a 2x4 to play. That being said, the pick just doesn't seem to be of even medium quality, and the cork seems quiet thick and I prefer just using good quality pick and Gorilla Snot when things start getting slippery.
                    Cork is a bit thick.
Nothing like the old Fender with cork.
                    quiet expensive.

I bought a pack because I'm still trying to find the best pick out there. I have a nice grip on it, and it's easy to play with. Though, you could go out and buy some corks and glue it on to yours picks. Just saying.
