I bought this specifically because I'm playing the song "Falling Slowly" from the musical/movie "Once" and it switches back and forth between fingerstyle and plectrum rather quickly. Trying to "tuck" a standard pick into my palm (I can't do the standard trick of putting the pick in my mouth because I'm also singing) was not consistently successful, so I figured this pick might allow me to "retain" the pick in my hand with less effort or likelihood of dropping it.

For that, it works wonderfully! It really does put the pick right in my fingertips quickly, aligned with the strings. For design, the manufacturer gets an "A" - on that count, it's just what the doctor ordered.

The problem with it is that the materials used for the pick itself are not right; for one, the pick is very "soft" - while firm, the pick breaks down very easily, and playing hard strumming patterns on an acoustic very quickly wears the pick down. Perhaps more annoyingly, the softness of the pick greatly diminishes the attack and volume of the instrument - playing with a standard pick, followed by this one, the difference is quite profound.

So my "Yes, I would recommend it to a friend" comes with a caveat; while it will perform the specific job I bought it for, I wouldn't necessarily recommend it for regular use - its poor materials choice means it will wear out quickly and detract from your sound.

may be of some use to those who have zero ability to hold a pick... but it could be soooooo soooooo much better. I bought it thinking I could easily switch from fingering my bass to picking and back. the "pick" wears out in less than an hour of playing. looks like my idea for this pick FAILed. I'm not upset I'm only out a few bucks... just sad that it wasn't what I thought it could be.
Features... what somewhat looks like a pick molded to some cheap flimsy rubber.
cheap. cheap, flimsy rubber. not what it looks like in the BIG picture. is much smaller than it seems.
This for one single, crappy pick. it's not green either. its red.

Comments about ZeroGravity Orbit Guitar Pick:

When I play guitar in concert, sometimes my fingers get tired near the end of a long show and I have to grip the pick tighter to keep from dropping it. The Orbit Guitar Pick removes that problem completely, because I know that I'm never going to drop it.

Getting a solid grip on a pick is difficult for me due to lymphedema in my right hand and arm. When strumming and playinng chords, this pick is solid as a rock! I would imagine that players with arthritis and other hand conditions would find this pick useful because you do not have to grip it tight. Best thing since sliced bread!

Comments about ZeroGravity Orbit Guitar Pick:

I love this pick. I got one to try because I'm always dropping my picks on stage. The instructional picture that came with it shows it on your index finger but that wasn't comfortable for me. I have fairly large hands and wearing it on my middle finger puts it in just the right place for me. Also, I'm used to using regular ordinary medium thickness picks and the feel, shape and attack I get with this pick is better than your average pick. It has a slightly pointier tip that I really like. My only concern is that they may not last long. I just got mine and it's already showing signs of wear on the tip more than I would normally expect.

Comments about ZeroGravity Orbit Guitar Pick:

I am a relatively new guitar player and I have an issue with some torn ligaments in my thumb that can cause me to loosen my grip on a standard pick. I started playing with this and it boosted my confidence that the pick won't go flying in the middle of my strumming. I also like the fact that I can quickly use it, then finger pick, then use it, and switch back and forth. I will buy some more of them.

I play coffee house settings and I'm the "token old guy" in a Contemporary Christian Praise Band. I finger pick and up to the time I found the Orbit Pick, I hated guitar picks. I've used dozens of types but this is only one I will use now. It solves all sorts of problems for me. The flexibility of being able to quickly switch from finger picking to a pick is the bottom line for me. I use them with my acoustic guitars and my electric guitars.

This is a great idea, that's what attracted me. However, after only two hours of use on my acoustic the pick was worn to almost a nub. And it left me with a white dusty mess to clean of my guitar. Why not use a pick material that holds up better? I can't recomment this for anyone except the occasional player.

I play mountain dulcimer but also suffer from severe arthritis and neuropathy in my right hand. Dropping standard picks due to fatigue or inattention is a real nuisance. This pick has totally eliminated my pick dropping and seems to automatically guide me into proper positioning of the pick in my hand.
