Time and again, seems we find out that you get what you pay for. Happened again - bought a cheaper strap, and was sorry. Returned it, and got this one. Although it is anything but deluxe, it does exactly what it needs to do, and does it well.

The material, although not stunning, is all real leather, and nicely finished.

The only minus is that it seemed to be just barely long enough to get my Dobro down where it needed to be in both standing and seated positions - I had to adjust it to it's full-out position.

Overall, though, it's a fine strap, and although I am not much of a brand-loyalist, I think I will stick with Levy's straps exclusively from now on. No one else seems to care about their quality like Levy's does.

Finally, I, like another reviewer, cannot for the life of me figure out what the little dangley extension thingey is on these straps. Somebody clue us!

The headstock side has a snap to reconnect it after its attached. This made it easy for me to modify the design by adding a nylon web (around the headstock) & side release buckle ($1.35). This allows me to quickly and easily remove the strap for putting the dobro in it's case. On the end-pin side, it uses the weave-through method to adjust the length. This cleverly allows the easy addition of the Levy's MM4 wireless transmitter holder, which attaches in the same way. I use this to hold a LR Baggs GigPro preamp, which allows me to drive the passive pickup I use and control volume. Oddly, I had to get the MM4 from another site as MF didn't carry it. I also liked how both ends tapered down to a smaller size at the ends. This makes it easier to weave your arm through on the right side for picking support and keeps it out of the way on the neck side. There is also a little snap-on strap for keeping your guitar chord secure (assuming you have a pickup in your dobro).
Two things made this strap work for me; the size & shape of the strap at both ends and the way the strap connects on both ends.
Good leather, well stitched, good snaps.
Fairly priced compared to other dobro-specific straps.

Best resophonic strap I've seen. Makes the instrument more functional by adding stability.

This strap is well made and good looking. However, it would be *most* helpful if attachment instructions were included.

the quality is good, but the adjustment strap can't seem to get short enough. I had to be a bit creative to attach it at all; and there are no pics or description of how to attach it.

I purchased this strap for my husbands birthday along with some other items. He was happy with the strap. True it's not real fancy or anything but should last awhile.

                  Needs a diagram or instructions.
Has a short strap that I have no idea what its function is. Didn't come with installation instructions. I don't use it on my resonator.
                  Really nice leather.

It uses a cord through holes to secure the headstock connection not a snap as I first side. Easy to change the length of that end and secures it well.
                  Good
