Of all the straps I have used over the years on my guitars (regardless of whether they be Dread, Jumbo, Solid body, 12's - you name it) this strap performs fantastically!!! If there is a so-called "downside" to this strap, its that it only comes in "Black" and a pure "Plain-Jane" (with no color, markings, pictures, etc.) So if you are looking for a strap that will "Dazzle" folks with weird faces, markings, colors, signatures, etc., - this is not for you. However, if you are a musician that wants a strap that is comfortable (regardless of the instrument - Acoustic/Solid Axe/Bass, etc.) - THIS IS FOR YOU. Of course, I have some "great-looking ones" that really set your attire off - if that's important but they are also "WIDE" in most cases and always "Padded." (I've learned my lesson over the years not to mention that my age now shows more.) Of course, you "Pay" for those type straps – DEARLY in many cases. If your session is short and you don't have to worry about shoulder/neck/back pains that you may get (always) from that great-looking-colorful "skinny-type" strap - then hang with it! But, if you want to carry your instrument throughout a long session, and especially if you are really moving around, the added support and comfort that the Mega Axe Strap provides will make your day. To me, its an all-around perfect strap that does what a strap is suppose to - hold your instrument comfortably while you get down to business; and not leave you so tired (and sore) from a strap that may look pretty but, in many cases unless that strap has padding and is "WIDE"!!! Well, I'm sure you get the picture!! For the money, you can't go wrong: its a wide, comfortable strap that is virtually indestructible and, for the most part, very adjustable for most guitar-type instruments. They do have one specifically for a Bass guitar so check with MF or the Neotech website for more info. And by the way, I also have one for my GT ES-Banjitar 6-String Banjo - its a perfect fit (for me anyway) to hall and swing that heavy sucker around!!! They are a "material-type" strap so they will, in time, wear down. I've had some for a few years and to be honest, I can't tell any difference with a new one! There are 2 items that I keep in every case: a G7th Performance Capo and the Neotech Mega Axe Strap. As the ole' saying goes, "never leave home without um'"!!!! Skip........

This is unusable unless you are either 7 feet tall, or like your guitar to hang down around your knees. When adjusted to its shortest length it still is too long to provide support. It is a fashion accessory, not for serious musicians.

Comments about Neotech Mega Axe Guitar Strap:

I bought this strap for a specific gig I had coming up. It was last night. Background: I've been using one of those cheap/thin 2" nylon straps. Been using it for years mainly because I just have it. I couldn't justify buying a new one or replacing it unless A) I lost it B) I damaged it or C)booking a gig like the one I had last night. The gig? 4 Hours, standing up, rock band scenario, NO BREAKS. 240 continuous minutes. I even bought a new pair of Dr Scholls insoles for my Doc Martens. Anyway, the strap was a huge improvement over the wafer-thin one I was using. I did start to get sore near the end of the gig, but really it was soreness just from standing with an extra 10 lbs hanging on me for that long. My feet hurt, my legs hurt. But again, this strap got me thru the most gruelling gig Ive ever done. I wouldn't have been able to complete it without that strap.
I don't get what some have said about its length. I'm a bass player, and used it with my Fender P-Bass. It was fine. It's probably adjusted to around 50", which puts the bass centered right over my belt, maybe a tad higher. And I'm only 5'9".
Seems extremely well made, very sturdy throughout. I like the plain black look. I'm not into flashy straps, never have been. So this look was perfect for me.
I would've given it 5 stars, but I just didn't think it was an INCREDIBLE purchase that blew me away. It was a good purchase that I would do again, and would recommend to others.

Comments about Neotech Mega Axe Guitar Strap:

I purchased one for my Fender Deluxe P Bass Special about three years ago and another very recent for my new Schector "Custom C-5" bass. This is the best strap I've have bought to date. Very well padded, light and most important, comfortable. A little more costly than others, but worth the money.

Comments about Neotech Mega Axe Guitar Strap:

This padded strap eases the load on your shoulders with a nice WIDE & PADDED shoulder pad. It is smooth enough that the pad doesn't 'grab' to your clothing so that you can tilt your instrument to adjust, move, etc. It is great for heavy instruments; specifically basses. The price was what sold me - definitely value for the money.

For anyone thinking of purchasing this particular product, please check the length, this is the longer strap (47"-56"); there is a shorter version available.

After buying 1 for myself got 2 more for bass player friends of mine that were having back issues. Both say this is most comfortable strap they have ever used. We are all 59 with 45+ years of playing expeience...this strap is a keeper. The only negative is the strap length as it is really long, so it requires minor modification for shorteniing beyond the minimum setting.

The are the most comfortable straps ever invented. If you play more than a few hours at a time several times a week, there is no substitute. I have them on all my guitars and basses.
