OVERVIEW

Crafted with a solid spruce top and stage-ready electronics.

The AG610CESHB is an elegant, cosmetically rich guitar with a powerful and open tone. The solid A+ Sitka spruce top generates great energy making this an exciting and responsive instrument suitable for any style of music.

The Shadowburst finish on the 610 is stunning, carefully crafted to produce a mirror deep shine and sophisticated appearance. Artist Series is now “The Award Winning Artist Series” – winning competitions and receiving rave reviews in the States, Europe and around the world.

Each model is designed to get the best out of its solid top and components, and for them to work together to produce a tone and player experience, rarely found in affordable instruments. These components include our FST2M bracing system, bi-level bridge, real bone nut and saddle and great quality tone woods.

The sound is warm, open and powerful, and both the treble and bass registers are clearly present and balanced in relation to each other. These guitars feel right and are rewarding to play.

Comes with the Alvarez SYS250 EQ and pick up system with 3-band EQ and a backlit chromatic digital tuner.

Comments about Alvarez AG610CESHB Grand Auditorium Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I needed a smaller bodied guitar for live performance. I have a Taylor Dreadnaught and it is just too big to wrestle with when playing live. But the Taylor has a great setup and sounds fantastic. So needless to say I was skeptical of a inexpensive acoustic. When I opened the box and got the layers of foam and plastic off the guitar I was blown away by the top. Grain was nice and tight (even tighter than the tops of 200 grade Taylors I have looked a lately). The finish is gorgeous. I got a pick and strummed it and of course it was out of tune. Then I discovered the tuner in the pickup (nice extra). I tuned the guitar up and strummed a few chords. Right away I was surprised at the volume and crispness of the low E string. It is as strong as a Dread...no, but it sounds pretty good for a Grand Auditorium body. I took the strings off and took the bridge saddle down about 3mm (don't try this at home unless you have experience setting up guitars) and gave the neck an adjustment. The guitar responded really well to some setup. The guitar plays great and sounds better than some guitars that I have paid twice this price for. You'd never know this was a inexpensive guitar. Does it have the complexity of a D28 or an 814....no not even close. Does it compare to a Taylor 114? Absolutely...and it costs a whole lot less.
