This is the second guitar I bought after not playing much for about 20 years (the first was it's little brother an AD-60S). Mine is an 2002 model and just keeps getting better with age. Nice full sound and easy on the fingers. although there is a little bit of buzz when played hard. Is easy to tune and stays in tune most of the time. On the negative side it has one tuner that binds a little, and has picked up a little bit of belly in the 4 years I've had it. The sound is great and keeps getting better. Mine stays out all the time so I can pick it up and play when I feel like it. One sugestion, ditch the "stock" Elixer strings and put D'Addarrio lights on it, it will make it sound even better.

great guitar

By Steve-44YBa

from Seattle

I played an aria 12 string since 1976. It was incredible! Replacing it was not easy. I tried many 'professional' guitars and was not impressed. After playing the Alvarez 12 string acoustic guitar, I decided to buy it and have not been unhappy at all.

Affordable

By Gypsion69

I got this guitar last Febuary and when i got it, i was in love. Its a beauty and a beast. Great range and great bright sounds. The only thing wrong (might just be mine) is that when one of the lower strings break, the 1st and 2nd fret of the high E string buzzes, but nothing a string change cant fix. Other than that, its an affordable, and pretty guitar.

super duper

By Sekacnap

from Traverse City , Michigon

This being my first 12 string it was amazing right out of the box. It was tuned down a little but the action was just right. It came with the case I got with it. The only one fret dot makes it look cooler and I really don't know what else to say. This is an amazing guitar, the only thing I have to say bad is that I'm gunna hate having to change strings.

Great!

By sgcrazy143

This guitar is just an all around good guitar. When I got mine i played another Alvarez 12-string for the price and it looked great but it didn't even compare to the tonal qaulity and great action this one has. And this guitars wood grain looks beutifull and i love the satin neck.

Tight Axe

By Jim-MQNw4

from Portland, OR

I received mine yesterday and immediately fell in love with the tonal clarity, feel, and overall playability of the instrument. The cosmetics are good, but not as fancy as some of the other instruments that produce the same sound quality. What I am trying to say is that I've played this thing in a guitar shop against a Martin and a Taylor and it holds up, and is almost as pretty. The thing that makes this a gem is that it only costs about 1/4 of one of the other maker's. The moral of the story is, if you think you might want a 12, buy this guitar.

Love that sound

By ross6759

I bought this Alvarez ADS12 about two months ago. This is my first twelve string and I am totaly amazed at how easy it plays. The action is very light. And the sound is out of this world. I had previously been playing an Indiana Syracuse six string. I have tried playing it once or twice but it just doesn't feel right anymore. I Immediatly go back to my new Alvarez. I play in a church music group and the sound is phenominal. Don't wait any longer. Go buy one.

Awesome 12-String

By redbich

This is the best sounding twelve string that I've played, and I really think that alverez can keep up with martin, and taylor, obviously you can't beat american made guitars. But for the money, nothing beats this.
