An ode to the roots of American blues with L.R. Baggs pickup for the modern player.
Built in 1927, US Route 51 has a history forever linked with jazz and blues music. It was the road that many travelling musicians used to make their living, playing gigs between cities such as Jackson, Mississippi and Memphis, Tennessee, hotbeds of the American soundscape at the time.
Inspired by the musicians that have travelled this road and contributed to the evolution of music today, Alvarez created the Blues51. This arched back designed acoustic combines a solid A+ Sitka spruce top with a rosewood body, neck and fingerboard to give you a more sweeping frequency range, ideal for reaching all the emotive notes needed to express your feelings. The high gloss tobacco sunburst finish adds to it's vintage appeal and will help it last for years. Best of all, it comes with an L.R. Baggs VTC pickup to capture every nuance when you are ready to literally plug in to your musical mood.

Comments about Alvarez Blues51E/TSB Acoustic-Electric Guitar:
I give this 5 stars because for the money it is a great guitar. I bought mine from a local dealer about 5 months ago and I play it all the time. I've played other guitars of the same style, the Martin Black Smoke, the Waterloo, a Gibson blues model and those are all great guitars but they cost at least 4 times as much and they are not 4 times better. For the money you can't beat it. Mine's a keeper.
