This is just a very sweet guitar. I own several AD type Alvarezguitars and as soon as I pulled this out of the box I could tellit was something special. The sound is very distinct/ full, even on the base strings. The AD series sounds muddy and week bycomparison. It has good volume but I would suggest getting a pickup/sound sytem for it. The pick guard is in the case with the guitar you havethe option of putting it on or not. The Gig bag is not a bag. It is a hardshell with a padded cover. It also has a combination lock to it. I sawthe price on this guitar and couldnt belive it. I told myself this is theonly time I will ever be able to afford a guitar this good. So I bought it- even though I couldnt really afford it, and I am a happyman. One distraction, was it had a scratch on it on the back on the bindingjust behind the neck. Also the kneck is a little more bulky then the ADseries. but comfortable.Peace
This guitar will please the most discriminate players who demand a guitar that plays beautifully live or during recording sessions. The Engelman Spruce sound board delivers a sweet voice that is bold and clear. Get the electronics (System 600T MK II) for optimal sound through an acoustic amp. Add the aux condenser mic to further blend the harmonics coming from this guitar. Can't beat the quality for the money you spend here!!!
All I can say is this thing is spec'd out to Compete. Nothing Cheap on this guitar, all top of the line. This thing sounds like what a Martin & a Larrivee's Love child would sound like.I still can't believe the guitar I got for the money. Go buy your overpriced Martin's and Taylors...they sound great, but this sounds just as great at less than half the cost.I LOVE THIS guitar, I will never part with it.
