This is my first guitar after playing my father's for a couple of years. I had played a few other guilds and gretch guitars, but this was by far a better sounding instrument. Before I bought it, I played it next to a Martin and couldn't find anything that made the Martin more special. It has a beautiful bright sound while finger picking, and really projects a great full sound when you give it a good strum. The pictures definately do not capture the beauty of this guitar. It has nice low action which makes for very easy playability. Only problem I found was that the symbol on the headstock was slightly off, but that doesn't matter at all. I know this guitar will last me through college and hopefully far into the future.
I've have a host of guitars over the 40yrs I've been playing and can't say enough about the PD-100S. It is simply the best sounding and easiest playing guitar I've ever had bar none. I currently play in a duo 8-10 gigs per month and the PD-100S is my primary guitar...I specifically enjoy its mellow rythmic sounds and crisp leads on demand and the electronics are first rate..I'm now spoiled with onboard tuning. A lot of guitar for the money and highly recommended by this satisfied customer.
Bought this guitar new. I bought it to replace a Martin I paid over $800 for. This guitar blows it away in every sense. The beauty of this guitar is indescribable...pictures don't do it justice. The sound is amazing, deep rich lows & clear mids & highs, the action is low providing great playability. Buy this guitar even if its a little more than you planned to spend. It is the last guitar you will ever need. Enough said!
This guitar plain and simple is just stunning. I wish they could actually get a picture of it that does the guitar justice. By far the best looking acoustic I have ever seen. Plays like a dream, easy to play complicated riffs due to the amazing action. Great for classical guitar and basically everything you can throw at it. The only thing I don't like is the fact that there is no pickup or eq that would have been a real plus.
I have owned over a dozen guitars in the last 10 years or so. From 12 String Taylors to a cheap Aria Acoustic. I have gotten rid of every other guitar except this particular guitar. I have found my "Lucille". The tone is amazing..the fret board is beyond beautiful. I have owned this guitar for 4-5 years now and have not had any problems at all. I will always own this guitar and will have to rebuild a collection around it.
