A very affordable nylon-string guitar with a spruce top, mahogany back and sides, and electrostatic finish.
The Alvarez RC16 Regent Series classical guitar is a great classical guitar and constructed using many of the same components and techniques used in building their higher-end instruments and sounds and plays superbly well. It has a spruce top and mahogany back and sides, classic tonewoods that generate a warm and well-balanced tone. The neck profile on Regent Series is a little finer so they’re easier to play and every model is constructed using a dovetail neck joint that optimizes the transfer of energy between the neck and body.
This instrument has also been finished using an electrostatic painting process for a more even finish that uses less paint in its application. This allows the guitar to sing a little more and it also looks fantastic. It also has a PPS saddle and nut help to improve response and sustain.
Premium tuners deliver tuning stability.

Comments about Alvarez RC16 Regent Series Classical Guitar:
I have several of these guitars that I use in my classroom. They hold up well (middle schoolers have pounded on them every day for several years), are playable, and have a decent sound for a laminant top. Bravo Alvarez for making a decent entry level guitar!
