An affordable nylon-string guitar with a spruce top, a narrow neck, and a built-in pickup and tuner.
The Alvarez RC16HCE Regent Series Classical Acoustic-Electric Guitar is a great classical hybrid guitar and constructed using many of the same components and techniques used in building their higher end instruments. The nut is 2mm wider than standard dreadnought or folk guitars but 7mm narrower than a standard classical guitar, so it plays like an acoustic guitar neck but with nylon strings.
This acoustic-electric version has a 3-band EQ and cutaway and is equally at home on and off stage.
It has a spruce top and mahogany back and sides, classic tone woods that generate a warm and well-balanced tone. The neck profile on the Regent Series a little finer so theyâre easier to play and every model is constructed using a dovetail neck joint that optimizes the transfer of energy between the neck and body.
This instrument has also been finished using an electrostatic painting process for a more even finish that uses less paint in its application. This allows the guitar to sing a little more and it also looks fantastic. It also has a PPS saddle and nut help to improve response and sustain.
Premium tuners deliver tuning stability.

Comments about Alvarez RC16HCE Regent Series Classical Acoustic-Electric Guitar:
I'm not a great player, but good enough I have done some pro work, and stage. I enjoy many styles, from rock to classical, with Pink Floyd, Larry Coryell, Heart, Tom Petty leading the pack.
I learned from the bluegrass pickers in North Carolina how to play a bass string and then fiddle with the 3 high strings. Most guitars need a rack of effects to keep the bass from dying out too fast. This one doesn't.
I've recorded it through an MX ribbon mic, and plugged it into a Vox amp, excellent.
The edges of the frets are smoothed way better than many guitars, and the neck is not as wide as most nylon string guitars, so more like the electrics, but it is wide enough my fingers don't fumble up.
Gorgeous woods, beautifully clear finish, I'm just happy with this one all around, and I will surely buy the next bargain priced Alvarez that comes to offer.
