overall this guitar is good for anyone i started on one and still play it todat the action is good and this thing is verry nice sounding better than a fender i think but that might be me idk
this is the most kick butt guitar for your money of you dont have alot of cash
top of the line up there i think so with epi's and what not
chips and dings up like any other guitar and still keeps its tone witch is sweet
I used to strum and play for fun years ago to the more popular rock tunes and then I tried classical guitar for a while but lost interest in guitar altogether. After years not playing at all, I sort of got a second love affair with guitars again and had a budget in mind of $200 to $300. I carefully searched around, lots of nice guitars in that range but I came across the Alvarez RD010, played with it a little and couldn't believe for for around $110. I could get such guitar, nice tone and sustain for a laminate, neck and action is good and looks good as well, for me it stood out from the others in the same price range.
This guitar looks great, I ordered black. Shipping is free, and came quick without scratches or dings, no glue anywhere. I wanted a cheap and quality beginner guitar. It has nice tone and it plays nicely. It takes abuse very well. Even tho it doesnt have fancy features it looks like an expensive guitar. When I opened it though, it had rusty d'addarios on it. Not a problem for me I just changed the strings. would be a great present for your kid, or for a beginner.
I just received mine today and it's a great box for the money. I'll break down the review in partsFeatures: solid wood construction, plastic nut & saddle, nothing fancy, but very functional. Good finish (black) with negligable swirling.Quality: It's not Brazilian and Sitka, but it has a decent tone. Strung w/ D'Addarios and rings evenly thru the range, especially open voiced chords. frets and finish were fine and the tuners smooth. No real complaints at all.
This is a nice guitar, the finish on mine is black so you do see a few swirls in the finish. The overall build of this guitar is good. Came from the box set up perfect, but the strings were rusted, so order a new set when you order the guitar. I have found this to be the case with every guitar I have ordered. I put Martin sp lights on mine and it sounds great. Has decent bass with out that boxxy midrange you tend to get from othe less expensive laminated guitars. I really like the neck it seems very easy to play, has a few sharp fret ends but nothing serious. overall I say this is a nice guitar for the money.
