Comments about Alvarez RD12VP Regent Series Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar:
I bought my guitar in store, however, it is the exact same guitar. It was my first guitar at the time, but I have had it now 7 months, and absolutely love it. It has a few blemishes in the wood from the factory, but in a [$] guitar I dont expect perfect wood. The sound and playabilty of this guitar is excellent. On mine there is a small buzz when i hammer the strings, but barely noticeable on only two of the strings. While this was my first guitar, I had 2 and a half years of musical experience in an orchestra before hand, so i know good sound when i hear it. It stays in tune great, and is very versatile. This is a great beginner guitar, and at high value.

I'm happy with this guitar. Minus the lack of a second strap button, I feel like I have almost everything I need, and I'm enjoying playing it.
Beautiful for a starter guitar, however there is only one strap button...didn't realize this till I got it in the mail, but for a small price I'm willing to get one installed or get a strap that ties around the neck. The picks are great, and the tuner, while a little chunky, has been very helpful. Extra strings makes me feel insured to an extent as well.
The guitar sounds beautiful. Granted, it's no Taylor, but I loved it the minute I strummed the first chord. Beautifully built I think. Simple yet appealing.
For everything you get with this guitar, plus the great sound and look, it's a great price for a starter kit.
