To start I got this guitar about 2 months ago. This guitar sounds so nice. It has a rich bright sound. Has nice bass, as well as bright highs. I put Alchemy string's on this, and Wow! I cannot believe the sound this guitar has, and it just keeps getting better. I have the natural gloss, and let me tell you, these pics dont do this guitar justice. This is a beautiful guitar. The on board tuner, is very very nice. but you wont ever use it. Since I have put the string's on, it has yet to be out of tune. I have never seen a guitar hold a tune so well. Sounds wonderful pluged in too. I have been playing for about 2 years. I have played Takamine's, Martins. side by side, this guitar is neck and neck with Martin. I know you wont be disapointed. Wow Alvarez. My next purchase will be a Alvarez 12 string.

bought this guitar after great reviews and a good sale price. thinking i got hthis 200n cheaper was a great idea. when it arrived with an action like a cello and rusty strings i didnt touch it for six months. got a guitar tech to set it up for me who was afraid to sort the truss rod in case it snapped was not what i wanted to hear. he hates it but has got it down to an ok guitar. not worth the monet . if id paid full cash price i would be really pissed off. just paid 700 for a scond hand Dean that is magic so im not scared to pay

    well pleased with alvarez

    By david-8KfKT

I have owned mine for 2 years now. I like the sound but I wish it had a little more bottom end. Unplugged it sounds good but plugged in it becomes a even better sounding guitar. In this price range I have not heard one that sounds better.I haul it around from church to church gig to gig and it is a work horse. I am very happy with mine.

    Awesome sound and tone

    By Soloist2000

    from Whittier, CA

I bought this guitar so that I would have something decent to play at church. I have been playing for 24 years and counting, mostly Rock at clubs and bars. I wouldn't hesitate taking this to the next open mic night at the local coffee shop. This has to be the best sounding Acoustic Electric I own. I also have Fenders (decent), Washburns (OK), an Ovation (beautiful, but lacking substance), and Deans (not pleased with them). Nothing compares to the richness and fullness of this guitar (at this price range). Even the strings it comes with are worth using for a while. Don't let this item get by you. You will regret it.

    Just plain amazing

    By SG5K

I bought this guitar just to try something new. I decided on this one because of it's pricing and had heard Alvarez made great guitars. Let me tell you, I LOVE IT. The Fender that I have owned for years has seen it's fair share of abuse and still plays and sounds good...but it was time. This Alvarez plays exceptionally well and sounds amazing. I will advise anyone looking for a good guitar to buy this one.

I've owned this guitar for two years and it still has the same sound as it did when I first bought it. This guitar is good for someone that want to advance in their skill.

    Great Guitar

    By AlvRD20SC

    from New York

I have been playing guitar for 9 years now, mostly electric. I picked this up as my first acoustic about 2 years ago. Its a great guitar, I've never had problems with anything besides a little fret buzzing. For the price it is a great guitar, I'm not going to say that it stands up to taylors and martins because that just isnt true. But to other guitars in its price range its the best. It blows my roomates Yamaha out of the water, there's just no comparison. Alvarez makes a great guitar and im looking to get another soon.

    Great Guitar

    By 3DBeend

    from Scranton, PA

I got this guitar because I wanted something to be able to use when I'm just messing around with my friends at home. I am a bass player and before I got this guitar, I only played guitar when I wanted a break from bass. I picked the Alvarez because it was relativley cheap, and it sounded great. Since I have gotten this guitar, I haven't found any other that sounds as good with the exception of a few Taylors. I would recommend this to anyone with a limited budget, all the way up to a semi-pro musician.

Great guitar, but could use better electronics

    By Anonymous

    from Undisclosed

I got this guitar in March of last year, and it sounds great. The quality is great for the price and it has a really nice acoustic sound. The only problem I have is with the electronics. Other than that, it is a good guitar, and I would recommend it to anyone. Just make sure you turn down the volume if you leave it alone while plugged up to a PA.

    Great buy

    By BYOUNG

    from slo town ca

I just bought this guitar a few days ago and it works and sounds great. The electronics are great they privide good quality sound. The action on the guitar is a little big but not to bad I think some new strings could even fix it, but its no big deal you can play bar chords up and down no problem. Great guitar great buy.
