This is the perfect choice for a beginner or as a back up. The sound is very balanced with a good amount of warmth. I have played 3 of these and they have all come in set up well. The tuners a decent and seem to keep the guitar in tune. They come stock with elixer strings which I would recommend keeping on this guitar. It is the best guitar for the money plain and simple. So give one a try.
I have had my Alvarez for 5 years now and it is still as nice as itwas when new. The sound is spectacular and the fit and finish superb. I have no reason to upgrade to another guitar!
i went to my local music shop looking for a cheap acoustic, my friend has an alverez and his sounds amazing, so as soon as i saw the alverez's i picked this one up and strummed a chord, it blew me away, i figured it would be over my price range by a few hundred dollars, as soon as i saw the price, i took it to the counter and payed for it. didnt even think twice about it..this guitar's sound is amazing, it's well worth it, loud tone, mine came with elixir nanoweb strings, makes the sound even better...i have had no problems with it, i have had it for 6 months. it looks as nice as it sounds...trust me, you will be satisfied with this acoustic.
This is a great guitar. Not for the money but because it is a great guitar. I have never played an acoustic that plays as good as this one. If you buy don't change the strings, they're Elixirs, the sound and play the best and last forever, they might just be the secret to this guitars playability.
I bought this guitar seven years ago. I had no guitar experience, and wanted something cheap to learn on. It lasted through the last year of high school, all of college, and now my second year as a music teacher. I use it for guitar lessons and music theory. Last year I dropped it on cement- it's chipped, but hardly even got out of tune. Great, deep tone, easy action, pretty sturdy.
Hello Everyone,The RD6 Alvarez is a cheaper model, but a fine playing guitar. Here's my story. Right after Christmas, I was driving down the street and low and behold I see an acoustic guitar sticking up out of a garbage can, so I stopped and got it. Well the tuner head had been broken off, (a clean break)so I took it home and glued it and I enjoy playing it and the action is great. (Free Ride) is what I named it. Thanks Alvarez for making a great, easy playing guitar.Sincerely, Mary Alice
I've owned this guitar for about a year now. I play it every day. I love this guitar. It is easy to play bar chords on and I don't get any fret buzz. It stays in tune very well and it sounds great. I have no complaints about this guitar. For a price like this, you can't go wrong with this guitar.
I bought this guitar about 6 months ago and i still love it. it never goes out of tune. the sound is just amazing. Ive played other acoustics and this one is by far the best.
Bought this guitar to start out with, after 6 months am still very happy with it. Sounds good, looks nice, stays in tune. At this point I have no need to move up to a more expensive accoustic... now maybe my first electric....
This is a really good value. I just got this guitar and just what I expected. Quality!
Its a great starter guitar, it has a great sound to it and the strings are not that hard to press unlike some cheaper acoustics I have played. If your starting I would highly recommend it but if you have been playing a while i wouldn't get it. I started on it and it got me hooked on it and again great starter guitar.
