The Alvarez Regent Series is a high-quality, entry-level guitar line designed to provide superior instruments with many features and specifications you'll find in pro-level Alvarez models. Components such as the bi-level rosewood bridge, scalloped bracing and PPS synthetic bone nut and saddle, work together to get the best tone and response possible.
The sound is open and full, and the guitars have been made to respond well, making them rewarding to play.
Regent Series has also been designed with the student in mind and has a slightly slimmer neck profile and nut, making it very easy to hold and fret.

Comments about Alvarez RP266SE Parlor Acoustic-Electric Guitar:
The scale is actually 24 1/8" , not the 25.5" advertised and the fret board is rosewood , not the ebony as advertised. Those are my only complaints. It is much better than an "entry level" guitar. Really sweet sound, great for fingerpicking. Very comfortable to play. Played great right out of the box; even the most expensive guitars need a set-up by a competent guitar tech according to your playing style, so yes I did tweek it and yes I'm a guitar repairman. I had to do very little to get it to my liking (loosen truss rod and slightly lower saddle). That should cost 6pack of beer if your guitar tech is a friend =). I'm trying to say no big deal! Great sounding guitar! So... the short scale, my wife fell in love with this guitar. My fingers crowd up a little bit, this was my first Alverez and I am really impressed, so I'm going to look for another model for me! .... Oh wait, did I mention the electronics are good as well. After bringing it to pitch, plugged into my P.A. dialed in the equ. and wow! great value!
