A wonderful guitar. I bought this guitar 2 years ago, and I still am in awe of it. Beautiful finish, full warm tone, great built in pick up with eq... I was not looking to spend as much as I did, but I could not get this guitar out of my hands. Short of someone stealing this guitar, or setting fire to it, I will not be getting rid of it. I know, I know... it's not a Taylor or Martin (Great guitars also). I think this is right there with the both of them. This guitar is a work of art. Thanks, Yairi!
Okay, you will notice when you play this guitar that it's one of the best playing and sounding guitars that you've ever played. Sustain and tone=A+++. But when you plug it in ( I run mine with a direct box thru the main p.a. with a Lexicon) YOU WILL KNOW that the pickups are the best ever. It's like sitting inside a guitar. This guitar has got the whole package but really...the pickups will floor you. Warm and authentic as can be. A really stable guitar as far as climate conditions and road use. But the case is crap. Upgrade to a Calton case.
I bought the PD90S some years ago after trying many many acoustics and loved it. When I needed an Acoustic-electric I bought this guitar from the website and it was perfect right out of the box. Best acoustic I've ever had, period, and I've owned many, played too many to count... You just can't beat the price for the quality on Alvarez. This guitar is not as bold sounding as my PD90S but that is because it is set up to be amplified. The electronics are very good as well. Love the onboard tuner.
I have owned this guitar for 3 years. You won't find a nicer playing / sounding guitar at any price. I have owned Martins, Gibsons and Guilds. This guitar is the sweetest sounding and has the fastest action on the market. Only objection is that it eats 9v batteries.
This guitar the DY84C with the system 600 mkII pickups speaks for itself. This axe is equipped with the best acoustic electronics available. If plugged, this pickups can create the most acoustic sound of your guitar the same way it is unplugged. Nevertheless, you can create your own kind of acoustic sound even without a direct box or any other pedal. Just plug it in in your acoustic amp, and that's all you ever need to do. Unplugged, it is simply amazing..
I bought my DY84C 7 years ago and cant say enough about the quality and versatility of the guitar itself.I have been playing for 30 years and I have never seen any other guitar that allows the action to be set as low as this guitar and still produce a strong tone with no fret noise. It is well balanced and because of its adjustability a player can set it up to play a wide range of styles. The bridge system is what sold me on this guitar.I have done a number low action of set ups on various accoustic guitars and the biggest problem is when you finish and the guitar plays sweet but one string is causing fret noise. So you have to taper shim the bridge and raise it back up a bit which brings the action back up because all 6 strings cross the same bridge. But with Yairis system there are 6 individual bridges which allows you to fine tune the action on each string individually..My only beef is with the 600T MK II PRE-AMP.It puked out just a few months after I got the guitar and had to be replaced. Now the replacement is coughing up blood..
