The B.C. Rich Virgo Vintage Celtic Electric Guitar features a maple, bolt-on neck; solid, beveled nato mahogany body; SOB Beast style headstock; a rosewood fretboard with celtic knot inlays and 24 jumbo frets; aged pewter hardware; distinctive Celtic control knobs; a wrap around fixed bridge; and 2 BDSM humbuckers.
The Virgo Vintage Celtic Electric Guitar uses a classic Bolt-on construction. The maple neck is bolted on with 4 screws to the body. This construction offers some added flexibility in the instruments adjustment and provides the option to change the neck in the future.
B.C. Rich BDSM Pickups
B.C. Rich designed their BDSM humbucking pickups to provide a solid sound and to be durable while delivering high output. BDSM stands for Broad Dynamic Sonically Matched. That simply means the pickup is designed to reproduce a wide range of frequencies accurately (broad dynamic). Then they are tested and matched in pairs (Neck and Bridge) by their inherent individual and signature tonal and output characteristics to give a solidly balanced tone (sonically matched).
The Virgo Vintage Celtic Electric Guitar employs a beveled edge around the shape. In many ways, bevels on a top are similar to facets on a cut stone. They catch the light and reflect at different angles giving the instrument more of a three dimensional look.

I recently bought this guitar off ebay but I have had my eye on this thing for two years now. This is the second BC Rich guitar that I've ever owned and I have never been disappointed by the clarity of their pickups. About 6 years ago I got my BC Rich electric guitar through a value pack. I was impressed with the tone and body shape of that sick and twisted guitar. Now I have the celtic virgo and its features are even more impressive with more of a professional twist than their cheaper guitars. The thing I like mainly about BC Rich guitars are their body styles, because, obviously if you're going to play metal and you want a body that has an evil look to it then BC Rich will never disappoint no matter what body style you get from them. The fret markers will take me a little while to get used to but the same idea applies. The celtic knot on the frets add an extra sense of style. This guitar is surprisingly extremely light weight. There is truly nothing else out there like it.
no guitar can do everything but for heavy rythmic metal and screaming distorted leads this guitar is the best you'll find. if your looking for some diversity i recommend that you get like a chinese sss strat they're like 180 bucks are usually (with the exception of squier) made of maple all the way through body neck and fretboard and have nice vintage 6 tremolos which (at least on the one i have) it stays in tune better than any other tremolo also watch a lot of youtube videos about the bridge your getting so you can learn how to set it up how you like it.good luck in your guitar shopping and i hope you like whatever you pick.
simply amazed.i've been playing bc rich since the eighties.i've owned several warlocks, from the bronze series to the patinum.this guitar for the price is the sweetest rich i've ever had.the pickups are amazing!heavy crunch and great clairity on the high notes.i ordered it sight unseen simply for the look.smaller than i expected.no where near the weight of a warlock and the body is much smaller.i'm a big guy so,it took some getting used to.it's hard to put it on the stand and play any of my other axes.i play through a boss metal core pedal and a 65 fender reverb amp and get some of the best metal tones i've ever come up with.buy it now!the best metal guitar you will find anywhere in this price range.
I was at my local music store around last year, I was looking throught the guitars when I saw this beast. This guitar is great! It isn't heavy, it has nice sound, that perfect metal crunch. This is the guitar I would recomend to guitarists even if you don't play metal, it sounds great on clean. If you have the money, get it! You won't be dissapointed!
I just got this guitar for christmas. Ive owned alot of guitars and this one is amazing. I cant tell you how much people not only love the look, but love the sound this celtic warlock gives off. ide reccomend this guitar for anyone whos not an amature at guitar cause this is alot of guitar!!
awsome guitar for the money
I got it today andthesound and playability is amazing !!!!!!!!!!! never had an electric with so much punch have to wait and see how it holds up but feels like a long tme guitar
I've had this guitar for almost a year. It came with some fret buzz that was easily fixed by adjusting the bridge. Despite the crazy shape, this thing is comfortable to play in any position and has excellent balance. I get compliments on the looks and sound both on a regular basis. The pickups sound excellent distorted. If you wanted a good clean sound I would recommend replacing the neck pickup. In short, I'll never part with this guitar, I love it.
